Sickly pale yellow - probably the most disgusting looking beer I’ve ever laid eyes on. Aroma is weak - a little bit of toastiness and blackberry and that’s it. There is not much to this beer. A little berry flavor, a little nuttiness, nothing more. Virtually no hoppiness. Not offensive or undrinkable, but nothing appealing either. Modeled after the lambics of Belgium? They’ve got to be kidding. AJNH21 (2) - USA - MAR 24, 2005 does not count
light golden color
aroma- strong with hints of blackberry’s and hops
taste- good mixture of hops and slight aftertaste of blackberry which leaves your tongue tingling
Little to no head but what head there is is a white and disappears after a couple sips
It seems that Long Trail may have changed the recipe since the release cause i didn’t used to like this beer but not love it. rhapsouldize (174) - Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 6, 2005
12 oz. bottle. Pours a Natty-like light yellow color; sort of reminds me of urine. Barely any lacing and an extremely thin white head (also comparable to Natty). In fact, the only aspect of this beer that doesn’t remind me of Natty is the slight blackberry punch when the beer first enters your mouth. Then, however, the flavor fades into nothing. The only thing good going for it is its high carbonation, and that’s not saying much. Aurelius (5659) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 3, 2005
Light, crisp, nothing. Funny bear on the label. Only the tiniest traces of blackberry in the flavor or aroma profiles. Serve in a flute, hell! Don’t even dirty a glass for this -- you’re not going to extract any further subtlety. Dry, fizzy. Lizabeth (360) - east falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 5, 2004
Pale yellow. The head is almost nonexistant. Very faint berry smell and taste. Overcarbonated.

Pours yellow with a tiny head. Small berry aroma and even smaller berry taste. Flavor has low hop taste and not much else to it, Week stuff. willblake (2664) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - OCT 9, 2004
08.11.04 Sample @ Mew’s in RI. Pale and thin pour, avg head. Aromas of some undiscernable berries, I guess it could be blackberry, maybe a tad on the sour side. This is supposed to be ’modeled after’ American wheat and lambic? Huh? Anyway, I don’t get much wheat character other than slight musty sourness. Berry flavor is never much of a factor, although this was a 2oz sample. Whatever, I’m just glad I didn’t buy a glass of the stuff. ruffian (149) - montvale, New Jersey, USA - AUG 26, 2004
An american wheat with blackberry flavor pretty much sums it up. Pale yellow in color, not sure what happened to the blackberry’s influence there, must have been filtered out. Small head that did not last. Light body, like a wheat beer. Blackberry aroma and flavor along with typical wheat character. shadey (2171) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 22, 2004
Bottle: Drank from the bottle so I didn’t have much appearance to judge. The aroma is sweet berry. Taste has just a hint of the berry, and a decent wheat beer. This beer saved me from a night of Bud Lite. ukoolaid (580) - Amherst, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 17, 2004
Bottle. Color is golden with very little head at all. Aroma is sweet. Taste has a hint of blueberry with malts and a dry finish (where’s the wheat?). Not terrible, but not something I need to buy again.
