Pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma has dark fruits and coffee...a bit of a sharpee note. Flavor has dark fruits, burnt roast, and a bit of coffee but still a sharpee note. Mouthfeel is full and the finish is dark fruits/coffee/sharpee and warming. Hennessyjk (38) - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 22, 2013
Lacks aroma but coffee notes do come forward at the start. Smooth throughout and a finish that reinforces the coffee foundation

Great lightly roasted coffee aroma, nice head, very inviting. But then everything seems sort of light all the way through. It’s fine but nothing stands out. It’s like a really good decaf, it’s tasty, but something seems lacking in the end. Still, not a bad beer, and probably a crowd pleaser. RxForHealth (202) - - MAR 11, 2013
Pours a deep black. Negligible aroma, which is surprising. Really nice on the palate. Roasted coffee on the tongue and a nice long finish. Strong.

If you like tons of coffee and lots of alcohol, this is your beer. Me, I thought the palate was too thin, and I wanted more malt character from this one.

Coffee forward malty goodness dark and dank, musty notes. Great tan head, tasty too! You can detect the hops in the back-end. I don't detect solvent alcohol and that's good. It's easy drinking and a terrific swallow! I would prefer a lasting lingering coffee on my palate aftertaste. But it does not. Call it a cheap date...I do like it.

Coffee dark bread dough bittersweet chocolate and earth on nose. Black pour thin tan head. Flavors of soft sweet dark malts coffee dough earthy dryness. Soft carbonation. Smooth body. Not bad. tricyclist (1125) - Florida, USA - JAN 15, 2013
I think I expected more out of this than I got... from notes - Deep dark pour with a quite thin than head. Nose is light coffee, bitter and light but sweet roasted malts. Flavor is coffee, again with bitter dark, and milk chocolate. Roasted malts. Medium to light body... I maybe would’ve liked more body and complexity than this offered for me. ryanscourt (1580) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 8, 2013
Listed as longtrail imperial stout per fox and the hound. Notes from 1/8/12. Thick and brown. Long lasting creamy head. Initial taste was weird almost detergent like. Body was nice, full bodied and creamy. Sweetness balanced with chocolate and dry bitterness. Finished nice. Not bad overall. Imaena (2359) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - DEC 21, 2012
Draught. It may have been a bad pull given the ratings others have left. I found this to be to heavy on the coffee, over carbonated, and a bit watery. I normally love coffee beers but this was a real disappointment.
