black with a tan head; roasted malt and coffee aroma; a high gravity stout (8.0% abv) with a slightly sweet, roasted malt flavor with notes of coffee and alcohol papat444 (136) - Carignan, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 13, 2017
Apperance: Gorgeous! Deep dark brown body with a thick mocha/chocolate head that is easily 3-4 fingers. Nice cascading effect. It looks like i’m pouring a chocolate milk, very nice.
Smell: Smells some much like fresh roasted coffee beans that i expect to see some there. Ends with a tinge of bitterness.
Taste: Well, coffee for sure! A slight burnt feel to it but subdued. Leans more on the malty side, not quite imperial IMO. I feel the taste is not as strong as the aroma. No chocolate or nutty aspect to it either. Still, it is tasty.
Mouthfeel: Smooth feel with a surprisingly good dose of carbonation. A little bit chewy at the end. Not too thick.

Smells just like coffee. Taste is strong of coffee, roasted malt.. with just a hint of "off flavor" that I seem to recollect from previous Long Trail offerings. Great one. jrodooo5 (1671) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - MAY 29, 2015
Deliciousness & kind of an inbetweener of imperial & traditional stout. Starts w/ an amazing opaque pour w/ a thick mocha head that leaves pretty lacing. The aroma is full of coffee & chocolate notes. The taste is coffee throughout but just slightly bitter. The body is a tad thin which makes this quite drinkable but nonimperial. Neverheless, this goes down easy on this hot day & I would highly recommend it! alexsdad06 (10378) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 4, 2014
22 oz bottle via trade from backlog notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small tan head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, mild bitterness, some caramel, medium bodied, decent.

On tap at Market Grille: Pours dark brown / black with a thick brown head. Leaves solid lacing on the glass. Aroma is very strong coffee, with a hint of smoke. Taste is very coffee dominant, a little chocolate, and a slightly coffee bitter finish. Full body, smooth finish, average carbonation, fairly sticky. This is a really nice beer, by far the best Long Trail stout that I’ve had. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - JAN 13, 2014

Dark brown, thin beige head, fading quickly. Big coffee on the aroma, a little lactose sweetness, a little smoke. The taste is roasted coffee with slight milky sweetness. Pretty Good.
