On tap at the Long Trail event at the Golden Rail. Pours a hazy golden amber with a thin white head that leaves light lacing. Citrus, pine, and even a hint of hay on the nose. Sweet and hoppy before a nice grapefruit finish. While not quite as good as their Coffee Stout it, like the Coffee Stout, is a big step up from most of their regular line. I hope they can keep it up. hopdog (13258) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 20, 2009
On tap at Capones. Poured a medium and hazy golden color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, citrus, toasty, and some pine. Tastes of citrus, the same floralness, pine, and some caramel. Lacing left on the glass. Sammy (13000) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 19, 2011
One of the best things I have had from this brewery. Very good balanced DIPA, very drinkable. Tasty orange citrus, hops up front hitting the style, good malt backbone. Above average mouthfeel. Slightly tart. Pinball (12601) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 5, 2012

Bottle from Craft fresh today. Pours hazy gold with huge 3-finger fluffy white head and copious lacing. Nose is wet hoppy, with pineapple, tangerine, some pale malt. Very citruc nose. Tastes wet hoppy, resiny, with a ton of tangerine, orange, pineapple, and mango flavors, in roughly that order. Smooth, very complex palate with finishing peppery notes to match the colossal hops and tropical fruit. Marvelous! Long Trail has become a brewer that I now seek out with these big brewmaster series beers. As a caveat, I don’t seek the regular stuff, just the brewmasters classic series! Get ya some, and do it now, punks! jercraigs (11087) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 8, 2009
2009-05-02. Golden orange amber body with a small white head. (3+) Interesting hoppy aroma has a leafy character and in interesting hoppy layer that seems new to me (different kind of hops perhaps?) but gets milder as it goes. (7+) Flavour is milder than expected. Pleasant hoppiness throughout, light bitterness. Hops are again a bit different from what I am used to and again make me wonder what kind were used. Mild base malt. Subtle, touches of citrus and very light resin. (7+) Average palate is smooth but feels a touch light for a double IPA. Quite pleasant, and an interesting twist but lacks the oomph I usually want from a double IPA. Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo. Shared by DuctTape.
