4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
One of my current favorites and a steal at $5.99. Bottle pours effortlessly with a nice white head. Its bitterness is so understated that its really smooth and a hoppy IPA with no apparent issues. A great DIPA and one of the better ones out there today...
Appearance is nothing to write home about.. medium golden honey w/ decent foamy head. Smell is great... fruity citrus, perhaps a touch too sweet. Loads of malt and hops. Taste is earthy Hops, it’s good... quite sweet, not too bitter. Darkmagus82 (2303) - - SEP 15, 2014

Poured from growler into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy orange amber color with a small one finger white head. The head fades rather rapidly leaving only a decent level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is sweeter of orange citrus mixed with aromas of other light fruits such as pear, apricot and apple. Mixed with these aromas is a pine hop as well as some notes of a grapefruit hop aroma. Rounding out the lot are some other aromas of caramel and a little bit of a floral smell creating a rather pleasant and tasty smelling aroma overall.
Taste- The taste begins bready and thick of a cracker and biscuit flavor. The flavor is rather dry and somewhat bland upfront but it soon joined by flavors of some sweeter orange and caramel as well as a little bit of grapefruit hop. The grapefruit got stronger to the end of the taste while the sweeter flavors seemed to mellow out a little bit. In the end the grapefruit is joined by some flavors of a pine and floral hop to leave a rather lightly bitter and malty flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thicker side with a carbonation level that is a bit on the lower side. The lower carbonation is quite nice in combination with the creamier body, nicely complimenting the hop and maltier flavors of the brew.
Overall – An alright double with a rather smoother finish. The beginning of the taste was a bit rocky however taking away from the overall greatness. Nothing too exceptional but worth a try none the less.

The appearance had a hazy golden body doesn’t allow any carbonation to be seen rising. Beautiful light foamy lacing clings to the sides of my snifter. A decent sized white head appears and lasts for a good minute.
The smell had a spectacular combination of hops and malts, citrus, pine.
The taste was pretty much the same and yet a vivacious sweet orange/apricot/peach comes out and really makes a superb taste. Some sugary malts present themselves in this as well.
The palate was about a medium with a great creamy citrus aftertaste and finish, slightly sessionable.
Overall, this had a great balance on all levels and is a solid brew that I would have no problem coming back to. I’ll go out on a limb and say this is the best brew I’ve ever had by Long Trail. Well done! haddon90 (1634) - Newport Beach, California, USA - DEC 25, 2013
Bottle. Pours a hazy, copper color with a thin, laced head. Thick, hoppy aroma with tart and grapefruit in the nose. Very smooth taste. Light tart with a kick of hops. Goes down real nice and hides the alcohol really well. DuffMan (10665) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 8, 2013
Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. Hazy orange-gold, creamy thick white head that retains beautifully and leaves sheets of lace. White grapefruit, pine, slightly medicinal, sweet malts. Nice.

Pours a clear light yellow with a white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of earth and grass. Taste is on the tart side and bitter from the start. As I wait the malted barley comes through strong as it tastes like in eating it raw. Average.
