Bottle from Total Wine & More, McLean. Hazy reddish amber body with thin head. Sell by date a tad late I’m afraid. Nose is hoppy, citrus and pine. Taste is hops with a nice malty taste to it in the finish, some caramel and raspy hops in there. Good stuff. Prickly texture. tapefuzz (760) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 11, 2016
12oz bottle. Pours clear orange-gold with a medium frothy white head. Aroma is floral hops with some citrus and a little sweet malt. Taste is similar with some sweet caramel malt and citrus up front. A little grapefruit. Very piney finish. Bitterness is too light for the level of pine. Light-medium body. Prickly carbonation. Slick body. I wish all the long trail hoppy beers I’ve had tasted like this. It’s super tropical and really really good. There’s a massive amount of tropical fruit juice and citrus in the aroma and tastes like a glass of mango pineapple. There’s no weird sweet maltiness, just hops, and tropical fruits and dankness. I’m glad long trail finally brewed a beer besides limbo that is hoppy and delicious. Cheers hfmejias (1283) - Marshall, Minnesota, USA - JAN 2, 2016
12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Pours a clear dark gold, white head. Aroma is hoppy, grapefruit, cereal and some malts. Taste is upfront punch of citrus and pine hops well balanced with the malt. Very enjoyable. johnnnniee (4405) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 30, 2015
Bottle from the Beer Store Nashua
Fairly clear light golden color with a good sized frothy white head with great retention. Earthy piney rustic with hints of bread and faint phenol’s. Bitter smooth rustic somewhat like a hoppy saison with a bit of body, enjoyed!

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2015 Golden medium bodied with floral nose, consistent lacing, and citrus flavor. I think the ambiguous ’American IPA’ leans more to an East Coast style IPA. This offering from Long Trail looked at home in an Oranjerboom glass. Foxbush (2088) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 8, 2015
12 oz bottle from Total Wine and More WOW! A big IPA. The ale poured a hazy light amber with an off white head and nice lacing down the glass. Floral hops and some pine resin greet you. The taste is more complex with hop bitterness in the upper mouth. This is nicely balanced IPA and one of the best I had recently. The invigorating sip comes to a perfectly timed close as the tongue-tingling bitterness scrubs the plate clean. Bricks (1147) - Delaware, USA - AUG 22, 2015
Typical IPA appearance, aroma is super floral hoppiness. Very balanced, smooth palate. madnorwegian (248) - FRANCE - AUG 20, 2015
For people that like IPA I’m sure this is a good one, but I find it really too heavy, resin, sappy which makes it overpowering. 60minuteman (1765) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2015
Bottle from variety pack. Yellow/orange and slightly cloudy. Two finger head. Nose is overwhelmingly piney hop. A little floral and a little spicy. Might be some orange peel too. Flavor is juicy hops, pine, funk, citrus zest. Decent stuff.
