Good Night Irene Ale is an easy drinking ale blended from our Flagship amber and our Brown Ale recipes. Caramel and chocolate from the malt is balanced by subtle, floral hop bitterness.

Litre on tap at Zeppelin Hall. Pours a nice, dark amber with appealing head. Aroma of toasted malt and slight floral hop. Taste of toffee and hop. One of the better beers I’ve had in a while

dlovell2 (2290) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAR 14, 2013
Had this one on draft at Long Trail. Poured an amber color with a white head. Malt and citrus aroma. Caramel malt flavors with citrus hops finish. this one was just ok for me.

Lubiere (14151) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 21, 2013
A golden orange ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet biscuit malt with chalky notes, light berries. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with smooth fruity esters, OK. On tap at Barcade NJ, Dec. 31 2012.

bigrond (1499) - factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 30, 2012
This beer was a huge disappointment. I’m a fan of long trail, but this beer misses the mark badly. Missing all the qualities of a good brown ale.

reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 6, 2012
Pours a clear deep amber/brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is carmely with dry leaves...a bit of earthy bitterness. Flavor follows suit...tastes like a seasonal fall beer...a bit of nuttiness as well. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is roasty/nutty with some toffee.

Leafs93 (2343) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 1, 2012
Pours brown with a thin white head. Aroma is caramel and grass. Taste is sweet with light bitters. Light mouth feel with thin texture.

NikkTwist (3344) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 10, 2012
Draft at Khyber Pass. Clear orange brown. Fizzy white head. Soft sweet sugar malt notes. Does not seem to fall into an easy category. Well blended dark sugary water. Decent palate for so thin a brew. Pleasant, but more like a tea than a beer.

pushkinwow (2895) - Ottawa, CANADA - OCT 10, 2012
On tap at the 20th Vermont Brewers Festival. I love the story of this beer...unfortunately I did not like the beer as much as the story. Light mahogany with a biege head. Little thin, sweet and slightly roasted malts, nuts, caramel. Mild body and moderate carbonation - somewhat sweet but then a bit of bitterness - do not like the mouthfeel.

blipp (9691) - La Mesa, California, USA - OCT 1, 2012
Draft. Amber with an off white head. Sweet toffee malts, with lighter off buttery notes. Long Trail is a good brewery; this is not a good beer.

czar (9430) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 25, 2012
on tap at reservoir, waterbury. clear pale brown with a decent head, little retention. cereals - spicy, light toastiness, but above all caramel. hint of pepper. average carbonation, light body, short herbal-grassy finish.
