Bottle. Copper color - somewhat cloudy. Clean, malty aroma. Malty, roasty and slightly hoppy aroma. Pretty weak for a winter ale, really. JuliusCaesar (162) - New Hampshire, USA - JAN 14, 2013
A drinkable beer. Mild flavors and not to heavy. Good for a seasonal but I’m not crazy about it. PGHbeer77 (571) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 30, 2012
12 oz. Not so good. Average at best. Like a weak lager. Nothing really "winter ale" about it IMO. wlajwl (7005) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - DEC 30, 2012
Aroma is gritty and slightly nutty malts. The flavor is mildly nuttiness, fruit and gritty malts. craig220 (313) - Crofton, Maryland, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Poured a clear amber with a very thin white head. Aroma is caramel, bread, nuts, cereal, herbs, and a faint earthiness. Taste is caramel, herbs, maple, nuts, and cereal. A little too sweet for my taste.

Cloudy amber color with no head. Very faint aroma of caramel. Taste is similar to the nose with an additional hoppiness. bcmartin627 (1) - - DEC 3, 2012 does not count
A slightly better than average ale-pours a deep amber color with white head that dissipates rather quickly. This beer does not sit heavily, has a delicate aroma of brown sugar and honey, and its sweet taste has a clean finish. odinstyr (818) - Hamilton, New Jersey, USA - DEC 1, 2012
Pours a clear amber-red with a small off-white head. Smells of bread, nuts, floral. Taste is sweet and mildly bitter, malty with moderate hops. A decent brew but not spectacular. Art (3219) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 30, 2012
Pretty average semi malty ale. I could drink a sixes of these during a winter movie. jeremytoni (3082) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - NOV 29, 2012
From a bottle poured a light brown color with a small amount of head. Malty hoppy flavor with a lingering finish.
