COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Real India Pale Ale (IPA), as it was first brewed in the days of the British Empire, was not the carefully filtered brew that we call IPA beer today. The first IPAs were unfiltered and featured extra hops and higher strength as a preservative for the long trip from England to the colony of India. Our Traditional IPA ale is naturally carbonated, dry-hopped & unfiltered like the old days.

I agree with Mike in that this beer is certaintly not as hoppy as the label says. It has the familiar Long Trail buttery/biscuity malt aroma. Initial biscuity malt flavour with a bitter finish. I would prefer more hop boquet and flavour.

Not as hoppy as they advertise. Nothing like Victory Hop Devil or Widmer's Hop Jack. Nevertheless, a solid IPA with a nice balance of caramel malt and hops. A very pleasant spicy, citrus hop finish. Another strong Long Trail product.
