Pours dark gold with lots of foamy head and tons of lacing. Nose is grapefruit and onion. Flavours are peach, grapefruit, onion some light sweet in background. Taste med bitter light/med sweet. Full Sticky body with lively carbonation and lasting bitterness. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 21, 2015
Bottle. Pours a clear copper body with a one inch frothy beige head that retained nicely. The nose is weather intensely hoppy with a fairly restrained malt base that really lets the hops shine. The hops are a nice mix of citrus and tropical fruits. The flavor is a little heavier on the malt, especially on the finish, and it’s showing a good deal of crystal, which I don’t care for in an IPA. The hops are still pretty vibrant though, bitter and bright with a lingering citrusy note. Medium bodied and a little clingy due to the residual crystal malt sweetness. This one smells a lot better than it tastes. mile (4005) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 16, 2015
Bottle. Golden, golden, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate to full malty and caramel sweetish aroma with some tropical fruitiness, grapefruit hoppyness. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, caramel and some tropical fruitiness, some grapefruit hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, some caramel and fruitiness, grapefruit - light piney hoppyness. Caramel sweetish IPA - way too sweet/too much caramel for me. jsquire (4538) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - APR 15, 2015
When i opened this bottle the glass rim broke and it was sort of flat. I’m not sure that it was sealed properly. Golden color with almost no head. Big tropical fruit and orange citrus nose. Thin beer with lots of hop juice flavors of tropical fruit and orange rind. Maybe its better from an intact bottle. Mikeyaponte (40) - Chicopee, Massachusetts, USA - APR 8, 2015
Very good. Long Trail beers are not readily available in my area. If you get a shot, it's worth a try. I tried this beer at the Student Prince Restaurant in Springfield Massachusetts. On Tap, tasty.

Thought this was a DIPA and poured it into a tulip, woops, next time in a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to orange color with a slim white foamy head that dissipated within less than twenty seconds. Barely any lacing stuck or even showed.
The smell had bittersweet citrus hops with a light honey in the background.
The taste was bittersweet through citrus elements of sticky fresh hops. It has a nice lingering sweet sticky aftertaste and fresh sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat subdued and carried a decent harshness to the feel.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA that I would have again. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 3, 2015
Nice big IPA but it had a bit too much citrus in the nose and follow through. Much prefer their normal offerings. DialSquare (5113) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 30, 2015
On tap at House Beer. Sparse note: amber pour. earthy bitter. floral. grapefruit. caramel. good. dank. even bitter, clean finish. 7.4 Nejhleader (1574) - Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 29, 2015
Mild hop aroma. Taste is a nice complex mix of hops, and malt with some spice. BeerScout49 (49) - - MAR 27, 2015
Good golden color and a nice hoppy balance without being overwhelming. Flavor has maltiness/biscuit too.
