UPDATED: MAR 27, 2005 3/27/05 Beer is up to snuff. This reminds me of a Youngs or Fullers in terms of malt character. Much cleaner than when Joe first took over. Nice nutty character, with gentle hops. Well done for an easy drinking amber. And I am pretty certain the ABV is greater than 4.5%- upping from initial 2.7 rating.

It just ain’t Tim’s beer. Sweet and mildly hopped, this deep copper beer has some off-fermentation notes that were not there last time I had it. Oh well.
UPDATED: APR 26, 2006 LVP&B’s driest beer, hops are assertively bitter, but balanced by enough malt to make a really pleasant beer, somehow the dryness and citrusey hoppy thing just go perfectly together. Awesome brew. P.S. I work at Long Valley Pub & Brewery hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - JUL 30, 2006
tap at the brewpub, sampler. Amber (go figure) with medium carbonation and an off white head. Aroma is malty. Taste is caramel, toasted malt, with some biscuit. There are hops up front and a good assertive dry hop finish. well done. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - FEB 12, 2006
on tap-pours a thin offwhite head with amber color. Aroma is malt, sweet, mild hops. Taste is rich malt, hops with some bite. OK carbonation. YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 3, 2002
Malty, grainy almost roasty aroma. Amber red color, brussels lace. Taste also like aroma malty and grainy. Nice malty fullmouth aftertaste.

Nice amber color
Taste reminds me slightly of Yuengling (which isn’t a bad thing) except a little fresher and livelier. Pretty good overall pivo (2688) - GERMANY - DEC 4, 2002
Long Valley brews look very good right out of the tap. This one has a nice amber color and frothy head like on a capuccino. A strong hop bitterness comes in a mix of flavors (toasted malt, hops) and a full body. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - OCT 18, 2003
Pretty good. Not the best beer that I have had from there though. Amber in color. Hoppy finish. Had a after taste though. It was an ok beer. Probiere (992) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2004
Sweet toffee, some biscuit (surprise!), caramel, pleasant orangey hops, a little tangy. They did this one alright. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 28, 2007
Very dark golden, clear and bright coloured ale wearing a small white head that recedes to a ring. Toasty, bready, fresh grain sack aroma with delicate biscuitiness. Not unpleasant at all and supported by refreshing carbonation. Soft zesty hops complete the portrait. A good example.
