Gold with creamy white head and lace. Light malt aroma. Dry malt, paper and pepper on the flavor. Foamy light bodied beer that is very drinkable. ganache (6050) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 31, 2008
Draught at the pub. Pale yellow pour with a very short white head. Grain and lightly corny / adjuncty nose, miles better than, say, Corona, but still reminds too much of macro. Watery, watery body with a nice overhanging bready yeast. Sudsy corn. Nice light grass and cracker, but citrus lacking. SkyHigh420 (12) - USA - MAR 30, 2008
on tap-pours a thin white head with straw-pale yellow color. Aroma is grainy, lightly fruity, and a touch of sweet malts The basic example of what a light beer should be.
May be the best example of a "light" that I’ve had at a brewpub Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 28, 2007
Extremely clear, very pale yellow. Light 1cm white head is mostly lasting. Lightly skunky (on the patio), fruity and slightly citrusy nose. Mild and refreshing palate. Softly malty. Cleansing carbonation which resets the tastebuds. Uninspiring. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 8, 2007

On tap at the brew pub. Pours a translucent yellow with a very small bubbly white head. Aroma was grainy, slight grassiness, hints of some citrus and mixed fruits. Flavor of cereal grains, pretzels, just a hint of hop bitterness, fresh cut grass and lemon. An easy drinking yet flavorful for a light beer. Kind of thin…but expected. freekyp (2408) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - AUG 16, 2006
Very pale yellow with no head to speak of. Tightly carbonated with a grainy straw aroma. Lightly sweet grainy character throughout with an amply bitter finish. Well done. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - JUL 30, 2006

There are a few exceptional beers that Long Valley P & B makes. The rest of their beers are just well above average examples of their genre. This is an example of the latter. A pretty flavorful beer for a light, but lacking the magic of a Lazy Jake Porter or a Stone Barn Stout.
The basic example of what light beer should be, without any really outstanding, distinguishing characteristics.
