Bottle:   Reddish caramel, thin sudsy off-white head, sparce lacing.   Strong biscuit on the nose, touch of over-ripened dark pitted fruit.   Very bready and nutty on the tongue, followed by biscuit and a slightly old astringent dark pitted fruit.   Some toasty caramel flavors as well.   Decent beer, well at least I am enjoying it so far.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finish is very bready, nutty, with aspects of stale dark pitted fruit and peat.   Decent beer, but its pretty middle of the road.   At least it was flavorful, but at a cost of nearly $10 for a 22oz bottle its not one I would reach for again. Bomber. A smooth Scotch Ale. Some dark fruit and roasted flavors up front. Chocolate and smoke flavors as the brew warms up. Mild bitterness throughout. Finishes with caramel sweetness.
