Cask (gravity) @ The 18th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2012, Reading, Berkshire England.

Clear dark red brown colour with a average, open and frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, light malt extract. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120504]

[email protected] Beer Festival 2012. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is fruity, floral and also has some mild metallic notes. Flavour is toasted malts, mild liquorice along with some slight ashes. Pleasant flavour, but the metallicness in the aroma is not that pleasant.

Lovely mild. Lots going on for this strength. Arrives a deep dark mahogany, with a cream head that lasts some time. Low in aroma, but great on taste; there’s sweetish malt balanced with roasted grains giving a mild mocha-ish hit. Later comes a lovely mild peppery hit of hops to balance everything and keep your interest for another pint. And another. And another. And.....
