Draught at Lord Nelson, Sydney. Pours amber with a medium white head. This beer lifted the spirits slightly as I could actually detect some hop presence here. Sweet, malty aroma and flavour with a juicy fruitiness as well. Smooth mouthfeel and enough bitterness to encourage another pint perhaps?

From bottle in tapered shaker. Pours hazy amber/yellow with thin white head. Initial fruity hop aroma with a bit of ale yeast underneath it. Fruity taste as well with some orange peel bitterness on the palate.

Bottle. Pours a colour akin to many other pale ales, a clear pale yellow. Aroma. Fruity nose, not much else i can smell here as aroma is quite faint. Taste. Pinet Bitterness, backed by an aftertaste of sweet citrus and tropical fruits. Overall. quite a nice beer.

Restrained grassy aroma in a golden amber pour. Nicely balanced brew with mild bitterness and restrained fruity body. One of the better Australian pale ales Ive had on this trip - but thats not saying much to be honest.

Bottle into a shaker glass. Amber colour, a little darker than expected. Minimal aroma. Almost no head and minimal lacing. Quite a big hop presence (for a pale ale) with a tropical / piney flavour being the dominant aftertaste. Mildly bitter overall. Not unpleasant, but not on the must have list either. Can imagine other people finding this very much to their liking - I just prefer a malty beer.

On tap at Lord Nelson, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out English hops and toasted crackery malt. Flavour is along the same mellow lines, with subdued English hops and toasted crackery malt. Subdued but well-balanced. Decent.

330ml bottle served in a pint glass. Pours a cloudy pale yellow color forming a modest white head with medium persistence and some soapy lacings left in the glass. Nose is fruity and refreshing. Notes of ananas, grass and resin. Taste follows the nose. Slightly sweet upfront. Notes of tropical fruits, sweet pale malts, grass and resin. Hints of zest. Medium bitterness. Light body. Average carbonation. Fruity and grassy aftertaste. Good drinkability. Not bad.
