Capped 750 from Half Time. Pours orange gold with a white head. Aroma is near sour andbarnyard. Probably something else, but that’s all I can say. Med body. Flavor is grain and herbal hop. Very clean. Mayhap finishing with citric/grassy noble hop. Goes very well with food. BeerandBlues2 (13642) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 8, 2011
Bottle. Pours clear pale straw with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is fragrant herbal and earthy hops, light straw malt, and light esters. Flavor is lightly tart hops and fruity esters, light malt, light earthy and farmhouse notes with a dry finish. Light body, low warmth, medium carbonation. marcus (10469) - Sacramento, California, USA - JAN 31, 2011
Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours clear yellow with a modest white head and a strange banana-like floral aroma. There is a thin off-white head and a light malt flavor. Goes down easy but is not especially interesting. MartinT (10014) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 25, 2009
My Bottom Line:GT (10001) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 8, 2011
Minty hops scent this Bière de Garde’s muscular wet farmhouse character, sculpting a light-bodied yet talkative rural session ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A hefty head of foam tops the particled pale yellow.
-The mouthfeel is light and makes for very easy drinking, but the malts could be crisper.
-The spiciness approaches that of cumin and rosemary.
-That farmhouse personality is redolent of a wet barn, humid haystacks, or maybe grain that’s been steeping for a little too long...
750mL thanks to beerandblues2. Hazy bright yellow with a small yellow head. Specks of white lace. Nose is oatmeal grainy, lemon, wheat, almost Berliner Weisse with some weird soapy off character. Taste follows Berliner Weisse trend with tart lemon, oatmeal, wheat, ultra light body and very enjoyable if off for style. Tart, quenching, refreshing body.

Sampled at the DC Ratebeer Gathering. 750ml bottle pours a transparent gold with a thin, cloudy white head. Very grassy aroma, herbal, wormwood, perfume. Flavor is better, sweet, tart, herbal, light lemon, a little grass, flower petals. Full bodied, herbal finish. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - OCT 8, 2011
Bottle: pours a clear pale golden with a spotty lacing white head. Has a light biscuity malty nose with a touch of tart fruits. Starts with light effervescence and soft doughy maltiness with a lot of citric tartness before a drier tart finish. Has a little too much tartness for the style. mike_77 (6876) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - MAR 5, 2016
Hazy pale blond with light fluffy head. Flavour is quite weak. There’s a hint of green apple and a light herbal taste in the finish. obguthr (6530) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - OCT 24, 2012
Lime and apple nose, with caramel undertones. Clear golden, medium head. Thin mouthfeel, but not quite watery. Lime dominant flavor. Fruity, but not very sweet and not very malty. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - OCT 9, 2011
transparent gold, thin white head goes to a frothy ring. Lightly soapy, husky grain/rice nose, bit of milk and grass nose. Little lemon, metallic, light grain through the finish. Soft palate, short finish. Pleasant, most bdg in the finish than anywhere else, where instead it shows as a weird berliner weisse.
