On beercation in Cali-forni-a. LMy first stop, Los Gatos brewery in San Jose. Theymake this Pilsner in a European style, and it is outstanding. Floral nose and brilliant hops bitterness with a long, clean malt finish. Very refreshing.

(on tap) Clear golden with good big white head. Subtle fresh aroma - light alt and hint of hops. Light body, well carbonated. Flavour has refreshing hoppiness from start to the long finish.Overall a good pilsener. SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - MAY 31, 2010
Draught at the brewery. Clear gold with a lasting medium-sized white head. Spicy and floral aroma with some crackery malt and a light mineral touch. The flavor is pretty hoppy for the style, with lots of spicy noble flavors. Malt is there but a bit one dimensional. The finish is on the sharp, mineral/metallic side, which is pretty much par for LGBC beers. The body is a bit sharp as well. This has the elements of a nice hoppy pils, but could use a richer malt balance and smoother profile overall.
