COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Late in November of 2011, Mike Rodriguez our head brewer asked about creating a Coffee and Cacoa Nib version of Serpent’s Stout for the San Diego Strong Ale Festival. The beer was a hit with our fans. When we wrote up the syllabus for the Ultimate Box Set, we knew a version of this beer would be included. We waited until the very end of the release schedule to put this beer in a bottle so that the coffee and cacoa nibs really come through. Four Bourbon barrels were selected for their rich and dense chocolate flavors. One week before packaging, we added 17 lbs of Ryan Brothers Coffee and 4 lbs of TCHO Cacao Nibs were added to the coffee and cacao to steep before packaging.

[email protected], Copenhagen - black pour with nice tanned ringed head. Aroma and taste is intense resonating malty, with big rich opulent chocolate, caramel and toffee, some coffee, some bourbon soaked wooden accents into the close, beautiful!

Draft at the Himmeriget, Copenhagen, Denmark. 2015 vintage. Jet black color with a small brown head. Sweetness, Bourbon, roasted malt and alcohol in the aroma. The flavor is Bourbon, roasted malt, dark fruits, sweetness, alcohol and fruit liqueur. Super rich and smooth. Strong Bourbon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bourbon in the aroma. Taste is very rich, first noble alcohol of bourbon, than vanilla and coffee in the after taste. Absolutely magnificent. A hint of roast, not too much. Wonderful.

Black with some brown hues near edges of pour, short lived slight brown head, no lacing. Aroma is bold with bourbon, chocolate, coffee, and some dark dark fruits (raisins come to mind). Taste is fairly sweet with bourbon and chocolate up front. Roasty light bitterness comes out in back half. Creamy full body. Very nice imp stout.

Bottle. Nice solid tan head, mahogany nearly black body. Bourbon, vanilla, cocoa, dark chocolate and sweet dark fruit in the aroma. Lovely savory bourbon up front, but not too hot, vanilla, dark chocolate, and roasyty vanilla finish. Medium to heavier viscous soft body. the savory notes on this remind me of Jesusofvt’s wine and port barrel treatments of his Norrebro impy stouts. Really good.

Aroma bourbon, chocolate, coffee, roasty, alcohol, Appearance black, brown foam, Taste light sweetness, lightly bitter, Palate full body, thick, creamy, Overall this beer is amazing to me. It is so smooth and all the flavors are there. Rich and creamy this stout is worth the higher price tag. I would suggest this beer to a friend.

Bottle from Jane’s Beer Store, Mountain View. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, bourbon (big surprises), leather, dark fruit, molasses. Taste: holy moly. Smooth, rich, intense; vanilla, coffee, chocolate, roasted grains, bitter slightly boozy finish. Wow. Perfect impy stout taste. Top notch.
