4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from the 2009 Sinners Club. This shit was amazing. Yellowish colored pour with a white head on it. Smell was funky, fruity, a little bit of hops, and some lemon. Taste was smooth, almost refreshing, sour, little bit of bitterness, just a great beer. If I did not know better I would think this was from Belgium. Now if only I knew I needed a basket to drink it with, that probably would have made me give it a 5.1.
On tap at at Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. Have to thank Max for waiting in line for this, one of the longest lines at Beaver fest. pours hazy orange with white head. Fruity, citrus, some peach, funk, bit vinous, light wood. Very smooth, fine carbonation, nice balance. patrick767 (4340) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 26, 2017
Very old rating found on a loose page while cleaning, possibly from 2010. Notes are from a tasting, possibly RB gathering in Grand Rapids- Hazy straw color, tart, fruity aroma. The flavor is also tart and fruity with a good balance of malty sweetness. It's funky, though maybe not as funky as some, and extremely good. September 2017 - Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza. As 'Lost Abbey Duck Duck Gooze'. Golden yellow, translucent, still, foamy off-white head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is grapey, apple, straw. Body is smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is apple and melon, some straw, little grapefruit and gooseberry tartness, very crisp into the finish. Nice.
