Bottle (from debierliefhebber.nl) Pours brown with brownish beige head. Aroma is sour, vinegar, raspberries. Flavor is very sour, bitter, raspberries, viengar, malt, oak, musty. Finish is dry and oaky bitter, vinegar. Overall: not a fan, too much vinegar and oak, feels over barrel aged and off.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2017 vintage bottling. Pours fairly crystal clear deep ruby red/light brown color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, green apple, cherry, plum, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, pepper, wheat, cracker, brown sugar, and toasted bread; with lighter notes of leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, raspberries, oak barrels, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, green apple, cherry, plum, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, pepper, wheat, cracker, brown sugar, and toasted bread; with lighter notes of leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, green apple, cherry, plum, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, pepper, wheat, cracker, brown sugar, toasted bread, light funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, raspberries, oak barrels, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/tart/sourness and yeast/oak spiciness balance. Lightly increasing pucker through the glass, but not overwhelming. Moderate increasing dryness from tart/sourness, yeast/oak spiciness, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and bready/grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Mild warmth of 8.5% after the finish. Overall this is an awesome fruited sour/wild ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, raspberries, oak barrels, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink; with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish, not overly lactic. Really great well rounded Brett/Lacto complexity with jammy raspberries; nice oak presence and bready malt backbone. A really enjoyable offering. Was expecting more from this, but it was still very impressive.

Maliny!! Wspaniale.

375 ml bottle at Sander's place. Pours a slightly brownish wine red with a quickly disappearing off-white head. The aroma is full with loads of overripe raspberries, cherries wood and some mild balsamic vinegar - really nice smell. Medium body with a lively carbonation, a medium to medium-heavy sourness and a light bitterness. Flavor of tart and sour berries, raspberries, wood and tart fruits. Finishes dry and tart. I enjoyed the smell more than the flavor.

375 ml bottle shared by PowY, thanks!
Dark copper body, with a small, slightly pink head.
Aroma with loads of fresh, sweet-sour raspberries, moderate vinegar, barrel.
Tastes pretty similar.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium sour, wooden, medium dry, with lots of raspberries again.

Tasty. All about the raspberries, which are very fresh and distinct. Drinks incredibly fresh. Outstanding stuff for raspberry lovers like me.

On tap @ Chuck’s CD. Been looking for this for a while... Pours deep hazy red with a slight brownish tint, very thin white head. Aroma is massive raspberries. Definitely some darker berry notes in there too, and a crisp tart edge on the finish. Taste is pretty much the same. Wave after wave of rich tart raspberries, medium tartness, clean dry finish. Simple and kinda perfect.

375ml 2011 Vintage kindly decellared by oldmanriver upon Thanksgiving, merci. - - Correctly classified as Sour/Wild, though it aspires to Oud Bruin - the raspberries give it away. - Even if Most of the framboise specifics have faded, the acidic fruitiness in aroma feels organic and not wilfully "sour" as with many US producers: very little lacto, a red berry tartness and mature oak mustiness blend together very well, with a winey meatiness suavely inviting you to take a sip. Age may have laid some milk chocolate underneath the lighthearted WestCoast berry sunshine here, which does it loads of good, helping it attain complexity, and dare I say grandeur. Lost Abbey to my palate makes the best once-Belgian-homage US "wild/sour" ales, and I believe their weapon is restraint and time.

Riktigt gott!
