DSG (14764) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 2, 2011
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2016 Re-rate 12/16: Bottle shared at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Vintage 2010. Murky red. Vinegar, lots of berries, sour, acidic, oak, oxidation, a bit of burning acidity in the throat. A bit too too old, a bit too acidic, but still great. Score not calculated. 8/3/8/3/17=3.9

Re-rate 11/3/11: Bottle at home. Shared with Tal. Vintage 2010. Deep unclear red color with a big frothy pinkish white head. Amazing rich raspberry aroma, somewhat funky, with candies, oak, lactic and cellary notes and a bit of caramel and cookies notes. Sour berries flavor with some oak, some cookie-ish malty sweetness and a dry, sour, lactic finish with a faint citric astringency. Later when I pour the last few centiliters left at the bottom of the bottle, flavor seems more sour and lemony. Silky rounded mouthfeel. Amazing stuff, one of the best beers I’ve ever had. 9/4/9/5/18=4.5

Bottle at a tasting. Hazy dark red with a big pinkish head. Lovely aroma of brett, oak, lots of raspberries and some citric notes. Dry sour flavor with salty hints, lots of delicious raspberries and light malty hints in the background. Finishes slightly astringent. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Awesome. 8/4/9/4/17=4.2

Scopey (14699) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2012
Bottle at O’Brien’s, SD. It pours hazy deep red-brown, with a thin off-white head. The nose is quite sweet overall - raspberry, red grape, cherry and a touch of lemon and green apple tartness. The taste is tart raspberry, red grape, wood, Granny Smith apple, lemon, cherry, vinegar and sherbet, with a juicy-tart finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not very complex, but very drinkable. Delicious.
