Draft on August 5 at Pizza Port Solana at the special Lost Abbey night. Pours a brown maple syrup color with amber highlights with thin head. Aroma of plum, wood/oak, and a little bit of cherries. Flavor of sour fruit (cherries, lemon). It is initially a little sweet but turns quite tart. Reminded my friend and I a lot of tart cranberries. Wow what a pleasant surprise for a Monday afternoon to find this gem still on tap at PP Solana. After a morning of swimming and biking ... Perfect ! Brown reddish hue and thin tan head. Smells of sour fruit. Medium light body. A good nit of carbonation on your tongue. Tart cherry is the predominant flavor present with some mild maltiness. Finish is great. Lighter than Cuvee. Draft at Pizza Port Solana. Dark brown hue with ruby highlights, thin off-white head sustains. Aroma is sweet cherries and light fruits with a hint of lactic sourness. Flavor is excellent balance of lactic sour and sweet dark pitted fruits, finishes tart and puckering. Medium body with modest to prickly carbonation. High drinkability for a sour, the sweet fruity balance could win some new fans of the style while retaining the hardcore elite sourheads!!
