750 ml bottle at Brickskellar, shared with Freddie. Brown, edge head. Aroma of cocoa. Taste starts with cocoa, and slight sourness, dry, bitter finish. Interesting. omhper (25251) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 4, 2007
Bottled, thanks cquiroga! Cloudy nut brown, average head. Caramelly nose. Sweet and fairly soft with medium body. Mild and spritzy, fruity and lightlyestery. So melon and metal shows up as well. Stays shy of being overpowering and cloying, and is instead mild and laid back. Somehow the flavour doesn’t really cover the whole mouth as in the best Belgian ales. Cloudy brown beer, low carbonation. Dry palate. Tastes aged - old malt with a hint of raisans. Fairly spirity spicy finish. Okay but not great by the usual Lost Abbey standards.
