COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

BlackHaddock (7957) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 23, 2017
19th December 2017. Ordered as part of a Flight in Crush & Brew, Temecula. Really pleased to see this, another beer I have wanted to try it for some time (it shared stage with Alesmith's Horny Devil, Port Brewing's Santa's Little Helper and a beer from Ritual called Hellion). Mahogany body, white topping. Malty and sweet brew, some raisins, figs and yeastiness in the aroma. Liked it.

Bottle pour. Nice lacing. Brown sugar aroma. Red fruit flavors, especially grapes and cherries. Lively carbonation that settles nicely.

koleminer20 (4171) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - DEC 3, 2017
750 mL bottle shared by ebone1988. The pour is a darker ruby brown with a thick cap of light tan head and a couple spots of lace that linger when it falls to a thick film and collar. The aroma is interesting. There is a good bit of dried and sugared grapes up front with a sweet maltiness. The Belgian yeast comes through on the back end a little more prominently. There is a bit of yeastiness and a light sweet malt. The light raisin comes through late and there’s a bit of a metallic zing to it that I’m not crazy about. The mouth feel is medium bodied and softly carbonated with a lingering raisin and dark fruit combined with a Belgian yeast and a sweet finish. Not bad. 7 4 7 4 15

Bottle from Merchants. Bottle shared with koleminer20. Aroma is dry, dusty, yeasty, dark fruit, some booze, different. Appearance is reddish brown, light brown head, nice head retention, unclear. Taste is dry, roasted malt, nutty, dark fruit, boozy, dusty, good. Mouthfeel is medium body, light carbonation, dry roasted malt boozy dark fruit aftertaste. Overall, it's a solid Dubbel.

Draft at Barcade JC with Paul D. back in Oct 2015 (Mets in WS or NLCS). Looks dusty orange-brown. Malty aroma. Notes of dried fruit along with roasty pork fat (?). Dry with gritty quality to the mouthfeel.

luttonm (6963) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 5, 2017
Bottle in Seattle. Modest, off-white head on a mostly clear yellow-amber brown. Dark caramel and raisins on nose, leading to a moderately sweet and lightly dark fruit-tart body. Descends to nice bitter dubbel profile malts. Fruit pits, bitter fruit skin. Finishes on a lighter note, dry and relatively crisp. Lacking some of the richness - and even some of the sweetness, if I’m honest - that I would expect in a dubbel. Solid.

ABS (1130) - Stokke, NORWAY - NOV 4, 2017
Bottle at Rickfifty's. Pours red to copper. Sugar, malt, caramel, malt. Bitter, some sweetness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Could be more interesting.
