Bottle - Roast malts, tamarind sourness and spice. Jet black with a thin beige head. Molasses, brown sugar, raisins and some throat heat. I like quads and I think the additions ruin what I tend to like. kbudd19 (1019) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 3, 2013
375 ml bottle. Dark black porter pour, thin texture. Aroma of sweet candy sugar, I don’t pick up any spices. Taste is fairly carbonated, some plumb, the spice comes in on the finish. ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 1, 2013
Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a deep red slightly hazy body, large creamy beige head. Nose is caramel, Norwegian brown cheese, toffee, raisins, figs, hints of sherry and alcohol. Taste is dark fruits, figs, raisins, burnt sugar, caramel and hints of toast and almonds. Full body, high carbonation. Solid quad from The Abbey. Reynolds314 (3470) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 24, 2013
A pretty average quad witout a ton of uniqueness as youd expect from all the flavors added. I dont get much beyond the normal quad dark fruits and spicy belgian yeast. A bit sweet and syrupy. TET (3168) - Kaarina, FINLAND - OCT 20, 2013
A cork open with a nice pop. A beer is dark brown with a big, dense and yellowish beige head. The nose is interesting and very tastefull, sweet strawberries, dark fruits, spices, some aromatic perfume nuancees. Taste is intensive, dark dried fruits, some earthyness, hint of strawberries, the long end is spicy and have an influence on chilis. With yeast the taste is very smooth and each compenents are better balanced. Almost full bodied, high and smooth carbonation. The great aroma, also balanced and enjoyable beer with saucy.

Pours almost black. Medium amount of brown head. Stingy, warming mouth feel at first, but gets a bit more rounded after a while. Sweet and bitter. Raisins, alcohol, plum, coffee, chocolate, malt. Good, but a bit too extreme alcohol. Dogbrick (13520) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Sample at the tasting room. The beer is an opaque dark brown color with a medium thick khaki head that recedes gradually. Rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of dark fruit, spices and chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, mild peppers, cinnamon and ripe fruit. The finish is subtle peppers and chocolate. Above average overall. ej (1330) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - OCT 13, 2013
