Znakomite quadrupel amerykanskie. Fajna buteleczka korkowana, a korek hucznie strzelil. Aromat porto i winiaku. Wyglad to piekne ciemnobrazowe piwo z bordowym refleksem. Metne na koniec ze prawie czarne sie robi. Bardzo ladna i trwala piana jak na ten gatunek. Jest trwala, kremowa i bezowa. W smaku jakby sliwki, rodzynki i rum. Alkoholowa nuta wyczuwalna. As someone who normally doesn't go for Belgian strongs, let me be the first (?) to say that this is an impressive one. All the strong Belgian notes are spot on: slightly malty backbone, well masked ABV, high carbonation, etc. The twist of the spices that the brewer added makes it interestingly impressive. While the spices are present throughout, I especially like how the spiciness lingers for a while afterwards.

Nose is dark fruits, light chocolate, spices, sweet herbs, very light licorish,… Taste is overripe dark fruits, soaked raisins, clear booze, ferment dark fruits booze, red grapes, sweet, light chocolate, mellow malts, light vanilla oak, not really getting oak,.. Very dark, fluffy head. Dried fruit, prunes and figs. Deceivingly light mouth feel, very drinkable. White peper, salt, liquorice. The chili is very discreet. Incredible beer! dambor (902) - Berlin, GERMANY - FEB 3, 2015
Bottle, on 03.02.2015 (2 years after initial release?). Pours dark brown with small head, disappearing fast. Aroma: very complex aroma of raisins, chillies, coffee, some "wild" Belgian yeast, spices (cinnamon) with a strong dark chocolate foundation. Taste: also very complex, with all elements perfectly balanced: dark chocolate, coffee, raisins, subtle chilli, some wild yeast and hoppy bitterness in the background. Subtle alcohol warming in the palate. This is a very complex beer, at the same time with no "in your face" effect regarding any of the ingredients (perfect balance!). Fantastic stuff. Ont of the most complex quads I ever had.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of spices, yeast, malt, chocolate, alcohol and caramel. Flavor is sweet and malty with some licorice, chocolate, spices and caramel. Medium to full body, soft carbonation-. Spicy and super smooth !
