Pours a hazy golden orange color with lighter banana colored edges and a one finger white foam head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Visible carbonation bubbling up and sporadic spots of lace left behind.
Aroma is similar to that of a wheat based beer with zesty spice, bread, citrus fruit and pale malt notes. Slightly earthy but the brett presence is weaker than I expected. A little musty and funky but I’m getting more lactic sourdough bread and some subtle sulfur. Reminds me of a tame Berliner weisse.
On the thinner end of medium bodied with a decent brett presence but again, tastes more like a wheat based beer with subtle funk. Crisp and refreshing with some zesty spice followed by bready yeast, citric acidity, light fruit and faint musty funk. Slightly lactic but not very sour or acidic. Peppery spice with some coriander and ginger followed by some banana, bread and strong lemon juice presence. The wild yeast adds subtle farmhouse funk and light tartness in the finish. Refreshing and easy to drink but not all that interesting.

375ml bottle pours semi clear dark orange with 2 finger head. Nose is weird apple grain, tomato, bitter sweet malty caramel and fruit, syrup. Taste is similar and not very good, sweet syrupy weird tomato soup, apple, wet grain, malty, bitter. Not a whole lot of funk. Finishes sweet, bitter wet multi grain, apple, vegetal fruit. 375 mL bottle, split with Eugene. Bottled on 5/23/2012. Interesting to see how this had heels up. Pours a cloudy orange color with a ton of foam head. Aroma is grain dominant, with a super pasta like character. I don’t know, instant reminder. Super brett forward flavor with a creamy body. Sort spice and orange fruit. Fun beer to try. Pretty good. A steady pour into my large Tripel Karmeliet tulip produces a fat-one-finger thick, pale tan colored head. The beer is a nice amber hue that shows a clear, light honey color when held up to the light. The aroma smells quite a bit like honey, with lots of flower nectar and fruit like notes, but really it smells very honey like. If you dig for it, there is subtle dried straw and pale cracker like malt notes in the finish. There is not a whole lot of complexity in the aroma, quite simple for even a primary fermented Brettanomyces beer, though the distinct honey note is interesting.
Up front there is a touch of spicy, musty phenolics, this is quite subtle and the honey like flavor comes on quite strong, fairly quickly during a sip and it lingers through to the finish. There is a bit of a bitter hop bite that extends from the beginning through to the end of each sip, though the floral honey and malt sweetness is definitely more dominant. The carbonation here is light, but persistent, it provides a bit of a prickly texture, but the body is on the medium side with a creamy over all texture. There is a soft malt character here that adds a sweet, whole grain cracker character, and a bit of sun toasted hay.
The dense honey flavors and aromas here is quite interesting, but it is not enough for this to be a stellar beer. This is definitely an interesting character from the Brettanomyces though, and a bit on the unique side.
Bottled. The aroma has flowers, some aprikot, funk. Hazy, yellow coloured beer with a medium, white head. The taste is light bitter, has funk, citrus, flowers, aprikot, biscuity maltiness. Light-medium bodied. Refreshing. Found it quite enjoyable. kayres (888) - , Georgia, USA - JUN 2, 2015
