(750ml bottle, thanks kmweaver) Medium white head atop cloudy cider body. Aroma is medium sweet, dusky, lemon/orange. Taste is medium sweet, dusky/yeasty, light lemon, biscuit. Light-medium body, some dryness. JMFG (1587) - Florida, USA - AUG 27, 2008
Sampled @ Lost Abbey, RBSG. Cloudy straw color, hues of copper. Light white layer of head. Slightly wet grain aroma, light spice. Taste is some citric and pepper notes up front with hops in the middle. Gets a bit sweeter as I drink on. Nice dry finish. A well-done saison. chrisafari (100) - Orange, California, USA - AUG 27, 2008
Aroma of fruit (green/sour apple) and spice (easters), background of floral hops. Pours hazy golden with fluffy/rocky white head with nice lacing. Flavor begins with nice citrus. Middle flavor is subtle pepper/spice and finishes with a nice hop/dry throat. Nice balance between the spicy hops/spices and the subtle malt. Medium body with nice carbonation, leaves the throat dry and slightly salty. Very drinkable and refreshing Saison. doubleo (1432) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 26, 2008
750ml bottle. Pours cloudy, straw yellow with a sudsy, fizzy white head, some lace. Smells yeasty, bready and malty. Some citrus in there as well. Tastes bready and yeasty with some sweetness and a good bit of citrus flavor, orange mostly as well as some pepper. Flavor is complex but pretty standard. Medium body, good carbonation. kmweaver (3208) - Petaluma, California, USA - AUG 25, 2008
750mL bottle, courtesy of wetherel. Thanks, John! Pours a hazy golden color; white head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Solidly dry, mineral bitterness, honey and basic yeastiness in the aroma; nicely dry, crisp, and hoppy. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of dry yeastiness, mineral bitterness, and toasty malts upfront; very nicely dry, crisp, toasty, etc.; excellent hoppy saison. Lengthy finish: mineral bitterness, toasty malts, and dry yeastiness; again, crisp and hoppy; really nicely done.

Courtesy of kmweaver. Hazy pale body with a large white head, lots of lace. Big floral/herbal hops nose with some hay and dough. The flavor is just lightly sweet, moderately bitter with lots of floral hops, some pepper, some honey, dough and hay. Medium body is lively with moderate carbonation. puzzl (3264) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 22, 2008
Bottle provided by JMFG. Thanks! Gold pour with a nice head that fades into a light white ring. Good lacing. The aroma of this is big in straw, hay, pepper, a touch of bitterness, and even a little alcohol. The flavor has a mild nuttiness and lots of raw, unprocessed grain, along with some bitter herbals. Very tough to drink, and comes across as something more like 8%. I do enjoy this somewhat, but it is not light and refreshing as a good saison should be, nor does it have any quality yeasty or floral notes. Straw, hazy. Aroma of pedio, sweat, some light pepper and pale malt. The taste is pepper, but heavy on the pedio. Simple, with some breay notes. A little bit disappointing. awaisanen (1310) - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 21, 2008
From a 750mL Bottle. Mostly hazy, pale gold color with a two finger head of fizzy white foam. Aromas of herbal, floral hops, doughy yeast, and light pepper. Hints of coriander and banana. Light bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel with a pleasantly dry finish. While the finish is dry, the the body is still soft and well textured. Flavors of bready malt and a mild wheat tartness up front, followed by a wave of herbal hops. Some doughy yeast, light banana, and faint pepper make there way out on the palate. Pleasantly hoppy, and seems to have a carbonic bite to the bitterness similar to Dupont, but not nearly to that level. Excellent, Dupont-like example of the style; not as complex, but certainly one I’d like to enjoy on a regular basis. Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 20, 2008
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2009 At Vero, thanks Gumby for sharing this one! Bright yellow, hazy, wispy. Cloud of white head and lacing. Farmhouse aromas: goat, wet leather, wet fur, teeny bit of pedio, fruit seeds. Soft, gentle effervescence like light Belgian fizzy. Belgian-style hops, Duponty in character. Nice hops, unique, dry, soapy character. Can really taste the Urthel influence, it’s lovely.
Bottle @ kp party. Hazy pale golden with small off-white head. Bright hoppy citrus rind aroma is lovely. Egg shells, fun saison dryness. Really nice and smooth and not too fizzy with a great bitter aftertaste. SAME SCORE
