UPDATED: FEB 8, 2015 Draft pour at brewery, absolutely amazing, one of the best beers I have ever had. Dark almost black pour, barrel aroma, such a smooth beer, I don?t have many words to describe this beer. dimenhetfield (2486) - , Florida, USA - APR 17, 2013
Bottle shared with friends. This bottle was an absolute treat! The mix of cognac and brandy flavors really compliment each other. There was actually a smooth chocolate type flavor happening as well. Hope I get to try this again. appgrad22 (29) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - APR 27, 2013
This is an extremely good ale. Seems more like a barrel aged scotch ale. Sweet, earthy, and smooth.

Reddish brown pour, no head to speak of. Nearly flat. But in this beer it works and works very well. Tons of the barrel notes come through without being harsh, some nectarine/peach flavors, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla. This is really damn tasty.

Bottle thanks to Hopscotch. Cloudy brown pour with absolutely no head. Mild brandy/cognac aromas. Uber sweet with luscious caramel, dark fruit, and velvety smooth booze notes. Very good mouthfeel. A little below the Mendoza line with regards to carbonation, but it works well with this barley wine. Solid body and balance. Bravo... whatsupstairs (112) - Inland Empire, California, USA - MAR 26, 2013

Drake’s 10k, always happy to try something from Lost Abbey. This one was a favorite for me. Dark brown, no head. Aroma of sour bread. Tia compared it to the brown bread that they used to have at Steak and Ale, and that was dead on to me. Liquid bread, yummy, hint of molasses. 15% was incredibly well hidden. Nicely done. Bottle share thanks to Chris, Big bourbon, vanilla, barrel notes. Taste is caramel, booze, light vanilla, flat, but great.
