COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpent’s Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with. This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

Faint hints of grass and cotton candy in the aroma- like going to the county fair. Deep raven-black appearance; opaque blackness from whence my soul shall be lifted nevermore. Carmel-brown head that dissipates but leaves serpentine lacing that lingers long like the guilt of sins past. Oh, but the taste! Thick, rich, malty wickedness with hints of coffee, licorice, and maybe even the forbidden fruit! Toasted marshmallow lingers long. Medium body; somewhat sweet and alluring, but the eternal struggle between good and evil is present in the devilish dance of bitterness and malty sweetness. At 11%, not really sessionable, but to hell with caution! The serpent delivers! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle. The aroma was chocolate and coffee. The head was a dramatic coco bubble festival. Flavor was again much bitter chocolate with notes of carame. The finish was a bit astringent. The mouthfeel was rich and satisfying. Loved it.

Czarne piwo z brązową pianą. W aromacie czekolada, praliny belgijskie, kawa. Świetnie zbalansowane i eleganckie. Świetne!

Bezowa piana i czarne piwo, duzo palonych slodow z czekolada i lekko slodkim karmelowym finiszem. Ciemne slodkie owoce, lekki tyton z orzechy z ziolami. Alkohol delikatnie wychodzi ale za to jak przyjemnie rozgrzewa.

Bottle. Pitch black in the glass with no visible head whatsoever. Aroma of notes of chocolate and cocoa intermingling with burned dark malt, plus some molasses in the background. Taste is semi-sweet, with an average bitterness; flavors of dark bitter chocolate, slight cocoa, roasted malts, and warm alcohol. Medium body, thick oily texture, low to very low carbonation.

Barwa czarna, piana beżowa. Aromat intensywny, zwiastujący potężne piwo - gorzka czekolada, nuty porto, wyraźna paloność. W smaku b. pełne,gęste, gorzka czekolada, kawa, popiołowość, kakao. Całość raczej wytrawna, z popiołowym finiszem.

Barwa czarna, piana mała beżowa. Aromat praliny, czekolada, kakao, wanilia i rum. Mega fajny. W smaku bardzo kakaowe, truflowe, kawowe, tytoniowe, karmelowe. Półsłodkie z fajną kawową goryczką. Bardzo mięsiste. Alko niewyczuwalne, grzeje mocno w przełyk. Bardzo dobre pifko.

Aroma of molasses with notes of chocolate and some cocoa chips. Deep brown in the glass, almost none head. Taste is semi sweet with notes of roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa. Alcohol is noticeable but not really aggressive. Classic stuff.

Overcarbonated, without body, quite nice aroma but generally very, very below average imperial stout. I expect more from breweries like Lost Abbey
