A: The pour is a cloudy pinkish color with almost no head.
S: A surprising amount of grapefruit--rind and fruit, which provides much of the tartness. The grapes certainly provide a musty and lightly funky aroma.
T: The sourness is primarily in form of grapefruit (which is odd given the beer has Cabernet Franc grapes added) and is really pungent and almost tongue buckling. There is a light bitterness that was unexpected but pleasant and a nice contrast to the sour and fruit flavors. The beer is not overly funky, but a nice dryness from the oak, fruit, and brett.
M: A fairly light beer on the tongue with a very prickly carbonation (which really enhances the acidity) and a dry finish.
D: A highly refreshing, though intense sour, beer. I was unprepared for the intense, though unexpected, grapefruit flavor but found it to be just wonderful.
