Bottle thanks to northernbrews. Aroma is huge cherry and raspberry with moderate barnyard. Tastes super tart with a moderate to strong sourness. It’s just intense sour cherry candy with strong barnyard too. Light hay. Remains pretty smooth considering the intensity. Great beer.

Bottle shared during RBWG 2014 Asheville Late Nite session. Big thanks to Beau for this one! Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Lemony tang in the aroma, light funk. Light sweet flavor with sturdy acidity, more lemon tartness, a little woody aspect. Light bodied with average carbonation and massaging texture. Clean finish, good and tangy, with more lemony citric bite. Lovely beer. corby112 (2804) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 22, 2015
Pours a very cloudy, bright cherry/ruby red color with a one finger off-white head that quickly settles into a thick, lasting cap. Streaks of soapy lacing left behind.
Slightly sulfuric aroma with plenty of musty funk and a nice barnyard/horseblanket character that American wild ales usually lack. Qualities are similar to that of an authentic Belgian Kriek. Sweaty with damp oak, cobwebs, lactic funk and earth followed by prominent cherry sweetness. Slight mineral quality with juicy cherry pie filing, earthy pit and dry cherry skins. Oak and funk are prominent with subtle lactic cheesiness, musty wild bugs and acetic vinegar. Minimal solvency. Smells amazing!
Tart and puckering with strong sour acidity but not harsh or solvent like at all. Some acetic acid lingering throughout providing vinegary sweetness that counters the musty funk while complimenting the sweet cherry flavor. Very flavorful but not quite as complex as the nose suggests. Doesn’t have the same depth of funk or lambic like characteristics. There is some damp oak, lactic cheesiness and musty bugs but it’s not as extreme as the aroma and the prominent cherry sweetness cuts through. Soft mineral flavor with juicy cherry pie filling, earthy pit and dry skins. Very dry with the perfect amount of sweetness countering the oak, acidity and funk. One of he better American interpretations of the style. Excellent! Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - NOV 1, 2015

Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate cherry, lemon, faint oak, and a hint of vanilla. It’s a hazy dull reddish-orange with a minimal white head that quickly fades to almost nothing short of a few stray bubbles around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of tart cherry and a touch of citrus. The finish has moderate-heavy sour lemon, oak, and a touch of vanilla.
Bottle shared at the Moeder Lambic cellar session 2015, thanks to Fux for sharing! drank side by side with the CCK, poured a much more orange amber colour compared to the cck, with a white head on top. the nose is very lactic, sour vinegar, and fainted cherrie notes (compared to the CCK wich was very sweet cherrie forward), some sweet notes in the end of the aroma aswell. taste of sour lemon zest, butter, citrus, and a lot of tart lactose notes, vinegar, old dust and oak, can’t say that there are a lot of cherries in the nose and taste aswell. just really sour! kind of earthy aswell. mouthfeel is a bit to light bodied, this is certainly no where near to a leavel of CCK. to bad, i had to say that i was expecting a lot more of this one. kermis (14191) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 3, 2015
