12 fl oz bottle, thanks to cgarvieuk. Pours dark brown with a semi creamy and tan head. Solid roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Flavour is mild smoked and holds a solid roasted malt base. Light chocolate smoothness too. Light bitterness mixed with a nice roasted malt acidity. Light chocolate malt following. Ends with a light roasted acidity and smooth chocolate along a nice bitterness. Ungstrup (38858) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 27, 2003
The color is black and it has a beutiful chocolate brown head though fast disappearing. The aroma is sweet and roasted with notes of coffee. The flavor is lovely starting out sweet with notes of roasted bread but then the stout flavors kicks in with notes of coffee and malt bitterness. It ends on a very dry note combined with alcohol running over the tongue. Thanks a lot to Alex (Fiulijn) for bringing me this fine beer. joergen (29598) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 20, 2009

Bottled. Black opaque colour with brown head. Roasted malt and sweet coffee in aroma. Roasted malt and old coffee in flavour along with sweet chocolate. A bit conflict in the flavour, otherwise it is good. Travlr (26405) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 23, 2009
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2009 Very black, admits no light. Thin tan head, decent lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate and cafe au lait. Flavor begins with cocoa and progresses to roasted coffee. Nice enough, but a bit thin and could be more complex. madmitch76 (26366) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 2, 2017

Bottleshare at Matteo’s. Thanks to Daniel. Clear deep amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest carbonation. Smooth mild dark malts. Trace of milky sweetness. Modest dark malt tang and dark fruits. Smooth semi dry finish. Okay.
Bottle at home ... Thanks to TheCHeeseMan<\b> for this ... Deep black thin head ... quite thin ... light and easy ... quite milky creamy ... good robust roast malts ... After the Brooklyn i didnt expect this to hold up ... but its a different beast completly , but its almost as good in its field... and wonderfully complex and smooth. omhper (25941) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - SEP 26, 2005
Bottled. Transparently black, near no head. Leathery licorice aroma. Dry with some carmelly crystal malt character. Roasty and creamy with restrained hoppiness and medium bitterness. Enjoyable, but fairly straight forward.
