COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not for the faint hearted! Our stout rewards the palate with robust flavor of roasted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. A creamy smooth surprise.

Light chocolate smoothness too. Light bitterness mixed with a nice roasted malt acidity. Light chocolate malt following. Ends with a light roasted acidity and smooth chocolate along a nice bitterness.

The color is black and it has a beutiful chocolate brown head though fast disappearing. The aroma is sweet and roasted with notes of coffee. The flavor is lovely starting out sweet with notes of roasted bread but then the stout flavors kicks in with notes of coffee and malt bitterness. It ends on a very dry note combined with alcohol running over the tongue. Thanks a lot to Alex (Fiulijn) for bringing me this fine beer.

(Bottle 65 cl) Pours opaque black with a creamy, beige head. Roasted, vaguely burned aroma. Rather light-bodied with an underlying sweetness and some burned accents that dont leave much bitterness though. 240206

Bottled. Transparently black, near no head. Leathery licorice aroma. Dry with some carmelly crystal malt character. Roasty and creamy with restrained hoppiness and medium bitterness. Enjoyable, but fairly straight forward.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2009 Very black, admits no light. Thin tan head, decent lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate and cafe au lait. Flavor begins with cocoa and progresses to roasted coffee. Nice enough, but a bit thin and could be more complex.
