Not for the faint hearted! Our stout rewards the palate with robust flavor of roasted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. A creamy smooth surprise.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2014 The flavors that stand out to me with this brew are alcohol and chocolate. The combination of those flavors I find pleasant. The mouth feel is thinner than I like a stout, but with a effervecient carbonation that is really enjoyable. I find a little banana in the finish as well. Overall nice beer that I would have no problem reaching for again. Orig rate 1/29/13...2.9. Aroma of coffee. Sips roasty with big coffee. Nice medium csrbonation. Very smooth and Sessionable with little alc taste even when served cold. Flavors of bittersweet chocolate in the finish. Body is medium, but it is a enjoyable texture, not too thin as I thought before.

On tap at St Augustines in Vancouver. A very dark beer with a moderate tan head and a nose reminiscent of coffee and chocolate. In the mouth this comes off as slightly fruity. Very sweet. Low bitterness. Body is a bit thin. Interesting. 3.5

(Lost Coast 8 Ball Stout) Bottle 355ml at home. Into a shaker, ABV 5.8% Dark brown to black colour on the body, one finger of thick and creamy beige head, very good retention. Aroma of toasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, oats. Taste begins sweet, chocolate, oats, lactose, cocoa, then roasted malts, faint bitter finish. Medium body, good carbonation. Quite good.

Cocoa aroma. If you want to bare with the "stout" youd better add "light" to it. Feels more like a porter to me. Well-balanced and just the right roast.

Arme de torrefaction et chocolat. Gout de torrfaction. Floteuse vers la fin. Pas assez de poigne pour un vrai stout

Has great mouthfeel. The taste and color is a little thin. Bit of chocolate but not much else. Rest is a very clean malt taste.

Bottleshare at Matteos. Thanks to Daniel. Clear deep amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest carbonation. Smooth mild dark malts. Trace of milky sweetness. Modest dark malt tang and dark fruits. Smooth semi dry finish. Okay.

Halloween 2016 - Bottle picked up at The Beer Boutique and shared at Matteos. As Lost Coast 8 Ball Stout, 5.8%. Dark brown or black, slight red hue, hazy and opaque, foamy light brown head, dotted lacing. Aroma is earthy, red berry, under-ripe berries, some blackcurrant. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is earthy, fruited dark chocolate, plummy with a dry finish. A full-flavoured fruity stout. Nice. (3.6)
