Not for the faint hearted! Our stout rewards the palate with robust flavor of roasted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. A creamy smooth surprise.

I had first rated this beer as low as it could go. I thought it was horrible. My review was apparently so bad the system decided to chuck it. I stopped smoking a week ago and decided to retry. It still didnt smell all that flavorful...it was still dark and thin, but I could taste some of the dark chocolate and coffee and malt this time around. I got NO oatmeal, so that was still disappointing. Not my favorite beer, not the worst. Reminiscent of Rasputin Imperial Stout. Also not a favorite for some reason. So, dont be angry. This score is better than the 0.2 I think it was last week.

Has great mouthfeel. The taste and color is a little thin. Bit of chocolate but not much else. Rest is a very clean malt taste.

Bottleshare at Matteos. Thanks to Daniel. Clear deep amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest carbonation. Smooth mild dark malts. Trace of milky sweetness. Modest dark malt tang and dark fruits. Smooth semi dry finish. Okay.

Halloween 2016 - Bottle picked up at The Beer Boutique and shared at Matteos. As Lost Coast 8 Ball Stout, 5.8%. Dark brown or black, slight red hue, hazy and opaque, foamy light brown head, dotted lacing. Aroma is earthy, red berry, under-ripe berries, some blackcurrant. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is earthy, fruited dark chocolate, plummy with a dry finish. A full-flavoured fruity stout. Nice. (3.6)

355ml bottle from Jumbo Costanera Center. Santiago, Nov. 2016. Pours a pitch black color with a big rocky beige head that diminishes slowly. Aroma is strong in dark malts with notes of licorice, high-cacao dark chocolate, prunes, dark rye bread, earth and roast. Beautiful. Taste is sweet but well balanced with roast burning the back of the palate. Some dark fruit and lactic flavors, oats are also noticeable. Quite full bodied, intense brew. The thing that messes with the enjoyment is a pretty fizzy carbonation. With less of that it would be clearly a 4. Nice Stout anyway. Reminded me a little of Sam Smiths Oatmeal Stout.

Maybe just me but this really wasnt much as far as a stout goes. The aroma was okay but the pour was very thin and the taste was empty. I might try it again just to confirm...my rating and opinion doesnt seem to be the average...

0.33 l bottle from Saveur Bire. Dark beer with medium, but quickly disappearing head. Wonderful aroma has roasted malts, coffee, dark bread and caramel. Taste is a bit drier with hints of coffee and roasted malts. Some caramel and milk chocolate also. Almost medium body, but maybe a bit watery feeling, which is the only negative aspect of this beer.

Bottle shared at the inaugural Matteo tasting, 31/10/2016. A ruby reddy brown coloured pour with a a mid tan head. Aroma is nutty malts, toffee, caramel, soft roast jammy fruits, faint diacetyl. Flavour is composed of brown sugars, toffee jammy fruits, little woody. Plate is semi sweet. Moderate carbonation. Toffee. Ok.
