Everything about this beer is just a tad above average. ...And I mean just a hair. Sampled this at the AZ Strong Beer Festival; head disappearing almost immediately above a sunset body. The aroma isn’t overpowering pine, the flavor isn’t aggressive grapefruit/citrus, and nothing sticks to the palate. This "Trouble" is definitely far from "Double". mabel (9787) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 9, 2008
[910-20071205] Tap @ Redlight Redlight (Orlando, FL). Mainly raspy orange peel hops aroma has some lemon. Hazy, orange brown body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Super grapefruit citrus grass hops flavour has something like a little bit of Johnson & Johnson’s baby shampoo. Medium body is very bitter. Fair hoppy beer. boboski (1095) - Alabama, USA - DEC 12, 2007
Light hazy pour, deep amber/orange. Light beige head, slow recession, solid pretty sheet lacing. The aroma unleashes, with an air of immediacy, a moderately intense toasted grain base. Hops are medium, not as pungent as hoped for. I ordered this for a big dose of hops, after all. Earthiness, soil, floral notes and soft grapefruit are noted. Alcohol is too prevalent. Mild stale toast and bready malts finish off each inhalation. Astringency is medium-high and overwhelming in the flavor. Malt tastes stale and uninviting. Hoppiness is at a dissapointingly low level. Depth of flavor is very low and incredibly uninspired. Finishes lightly bitter, bready and bland. The mouthfeel is sticky, oily and parching with low-medium carbonation. Unimpressive. redlight (2325) - Orlando, Florida, USA - DEC 7, 2007
draft @ redlight redlight. (tap handle indicates 7.6% ABV) Piney citrus aroma, somewhat sweet. Pours orange pale with a thick white head. Very hoppy, citrus, bitter orange/grapfruit, a little astringent, with notes of pine resin in the background. not bad. DragonStout (1418) - Groveport, Ohio, USA - DEC 6, 2007

Draft @ Redlight. Slightly cloudy golden color. Piney grapefruit hops and clean bready malts, both in nose and flavor. Medium bitterness, light finish overall. JB175 (1665) - Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 27, 2007
Draft at Isaac Newtons - no notes taken, but I remember fairly well. Orange color (cloudy) with a very sweet piney-grapefruit aroma. Flavor was a bit too sweet and unbalanced. Not bad, but could have been much better for the style. dancatts (91) - Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 26, 2007
This IPA had some serious bite to it. Bitterness is almost overwhelming when drinking. Had a heavy hop aroma with a golden color that tasted strong, but not to heavy. Braudog (6836) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - NOV 25, 2007
Draft pint at KClingers. Reddish amber with a firm pillowy head. Oily hop aroma. Full bodied drinker with lots to it -- thick and woodsy, with a heavy spicy twist and a big earthy finish. Tangy and metallic at the end. Good IPA with some gusto. (#3216, 11/24/2007) BillKismet (4138) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 9, 2007
Full amber with aroma and flavor full of simoce fruity goodness. A bit strong, but fairly well balanced.
