COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American version of the Belgian style. This unfiltered beer has a striking translucent, golden color with white clouds. Seemingly a contradiction in terms, it has a full body mouth-feel but is surprisingly light to drink. Topped with a hint of citrus, provided by Coriander and a secret blend of Humbolt herbs, this beer is slightly sweet and a delight to drink in any season.

Bright yellow in color. A little murky, like any wheat. Fruity fragrance, citrusy. A bit thick, sits on the tongue. A great summer drinker for a hot day, save for the heavy body that coats the mouth and keeps it from being an all day brew.

12 oz pour from refrigerated bottle into wheat beer glass. Moderate white head, hazy, and golden. Very well carbonated. Moderate mouthfeel, a little watery. Decent coriander nose. Taste is herby, lots of wheat taste. Wheat bitterness on the end. Mediocre sipping beer.

Consumed right out of a 12 oz bottle. I don’t think I need to see this one to review it. Super easy drinking, mild wheat flavor. Some citrus and some spice. Sweet finish. Ok. Probably a good cooking beer (would like to try it as the liquid to boil brats or something).

maekchu (4024) - Hirakata, JAPAN - APR 29, 2015
Bottle from Sake Taniguchi (World Beer Market). Citrus, coriander, and some light wheat in the nose. Clear medium straw color. Coriander and small wheaty notes. Light lemon. Thin body. Not too bad. But not so good as a wit. The coriander is a too too much up front. Light and not so tasty overall.

Pours a hazy light gold color with a white head. Aromas of lemon and a little hop. Taste of lemon coriander and a little citrus zest. Light on the palate. Overall not bad but nothing special.

From bottle in Belgian ale glass. Pours with golden straw hue and nice carbonation. A bit of a spicy finish with a hint of coriander. An enjoyable beer that went well with Malaysian laksa curry.

12 oz. bottle from TheHOFF43- thanks again, Hoff! Pours a pale, clear gold with a small white head. Looks too clear for the style. Smells like malt liquor. All sugar and corn, with no witbier character. Notes of paper, pepper, lemon and straw in the background. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, dry, flat mouthfeel. This is so far off style it’s unforgivable. Gross.

Translucent gold, quick fading white head. Aroma is yeasty banana and citrus. Taste is bread and candied banana, slight lemon. Basic

Bottle. Watery white with candied banana. Not a lot going on here unfortunately. Probably a little old.
