An American version of the Belgian
style. This unfiltered beer has a striking translucent, golden color with
white clouds. Seemingly a contradiction in terms, it has a full body mouth-feel but is surprisingly light to drink. Topped with a hint of citrus, provided by Coriander and a secret blend of Humbolt herbs, this beer is slightly sweet and a delight to drink in any season.
Similer to Hoegaarden, this is a great beer with a nice flavor. It doesn’t really feel like a domestic knock off and is brewed with a lot care. As this is (along with Lambic’s) my favorite style I must give it a thumbs up.
I had a keg of this at my graduation party and it has never disappointed. Beautiful gold with just a slight haze compared to other unfiltered beers. The "secret blend of Humboldt herbs" might be what makes it one of my favorite brews.
Such a tasty beer. Pours golden with a one finger head. The aroma is that of good lager and citrus fruits. Very appealing. The taste is a sure winner. Crisp, refreshing, even playful. The citrus is what makes this beer exceptional. Very clean tasting, a unique beer that goes well with dinner. An amazing version of a hard to brew beer. I am suprised at all the low ratings....perhaps Oregon gets the good batches?
