3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a medium off white head. Smells of citrus, pine, slightly floral, slightly grassy, slightly sweet with some resinous background. Tastes piney, citrus (grapefruit and melon), light caramel and light bread. Medium bitterness (for a west coast ipa) with a medium dry finish. Really very balanced, even the palate has a medium to full body with average carbonation levels. Not to say this is an average beer, it’s quite tasty and I would drink again without hesitation. Very good beer and everything is balanced really well.

12 oz bottle into a La Chouffe stemmed tulip on 4th Jan 2018 at my daughters in California. Moved in from the garden as the sun has dropped, taking the warm temperature with it. Amber bodied, white affair on top. This is an IPA that doesn't fanny around with tropical fruit aroma/flavoured hops: this is old school hoppy, bitter, an in your face hop monster. Reminded me of the first 'West Coast' IPA's that I tried when 'craft beer' was new to the US. Good to find a non-citrus IPA in California, thought they'd all gone and replaced by 'new wave hops' and orange peel. deanso (10258) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - DEC 30, 2017
