22 fl oz bottle. Pours dark amber with a light orange glare and a huge off-white head. Aroma is distinct raspberry and dark roasted malt. Nice mix of liqourice like flavours and raspberry with a smooth roasted malt base. Bitter and slight acidic. Mild acidic finish.

Ungstrup (37861) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 2, 2007
Bottled. A dark brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of fruit and almonds. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of raspberries and almonds, leading to a dry end with notes of berries.

Draft @ Lost Coast. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty raspberry aroma. Sweetish fruity raspberry flavor with some hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty raspberry finish.

omhper (25243) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JAN 9, 2007
Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear deep ruby with average head. The fresh raspberries in the aroma are acompanied by lightly roasty malt. With it’s surprisingly restrained sweetness and clean rounded, perhaps somewhat soapy moutheel it is more well balanced than I thought this beer would be, and the fresh raspberry flavour goes well with the nutty malt. Low bitterness. A solid effort in a difficult style.

Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 5, 2007
(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of Storm. Clear, dark, orangey brown with a creamy, off-white head. Fresh raspberry aroma. Medium body, very dry in spite of the heavy raspberry notes and a dry, slightly chemical finish. But fresh and very quaffable. 310507

Clear brown beer. Light raspberry nose. Slightly watery palate. Low carbonation. Very odd beer! Like a bottle of cold tea with raspberry flavour added. The raspberry is light and the tea flavour is strong. Minerally watery finish. Blegh!

fiulijn (20604) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 3, 2012
Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Brown color, clear. Dusty aroma, some yeast. The flavor is a total mess: dusty dry dark caramel, raspberries, light chocolate; ordinary bitterness; the final is a bit sweeter, getting better.
But overall it’s not a good beer.

mcberko (18056) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 29, 2010
22 oz. bottle, pours dark amber with a small beige head. Dominant raspberry nose with nuts in the background. Flavour is quite muted, with a light raspberries, toasted malts and nuts about balanced. Nothing spectacular.

Oakes (17813) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 14, 2008
Dark brown. Big raspberry aroma, maybe some toast but not much else. Very chocolatey palate, nicely balanced by raspberry with a hint of fudge in the finish.

3.5
Ferris (15889) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 19, 2014
Draft - Raspberries and dark chocolate. Clear mahogany and creamy beige head. Raspberries in a way that you feel like you are also getting the seeds, amazingly potent with dark chocolate malts. Not an everyday beer but something with desert.
