Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phrom Phong, Bangkok. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken white head. The aroma is light roasty, light red berry fruit. The flavour is light sour, with a dry fresh crisp yeast, fruity, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Tap @ Kick. Clear reddish amber body with a moderate sized tan head. Really nice raspberry aroma with malt in the background, slightly toasted. Flavor is smooth malt with fresh raspberry, medium sweet and moderate bitterness. Balanced body and long lasting aftertaste with raspberry and malt. A bit one-dimensional but quite nice. The berries are tasting real and distinct, but not too much.

Clean amber-brown color with a soapy off white head. Raspberries, mild florals, and sweet bread on the nose. Raspberry and subtle toffee taste with a subtle dry roast at the finish.

Deep red/brown with a little light brown head. Aroma of raspberry and roasted malt (chocolate and toast notes). I am note quite sure if I think those two components mix well in the aroma but at the same time its interesting. The taste is more raspberry than roasted malt, with the chocolat and toast flavors in the background but gaining a little more power in the aftertaste. I can’t sense much hops except maybe a little grassiness in the aroma. I think its interesting but not great.

Bomber from the grocery store. Aroma is strong in real raspberries; also, chocolate, dark bread crust, licorice. Pours dark brown but looks clear ruby red in the light; has a medium beige head that falls into a ring after a minute. Taste starts out faintly sweet and roasty before leading into a dry finish. Wow, what a nice surprise. I’ve been passing this beer up on the store shelves for years. I never thought it would amount to much. I’m glad I finally picked it up.

Pours a dark brown with a medium size tan head and good lacing. Smell is of raspberry, caramel, and some malt. Taste is a little watery, raspberry, some caramel, and a little tart.

22 oz bottle at the ISKTR 2016, Hervanta, Finland. Thanks Timo A!
Slightly cloudy amber color with a small white head. Sweetness and raspberries in the aroma. Raspberry jam, sweetness and malt in the flavor. Raspberry Brown Ale - it is what it is.
