Draught at the brewery, 5/26/17.JStax (6509) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - OCT 18, 2016
Dark amber, clear with a well-retained, white head atop.
Smells of light cereal grain (biscuit, corn, vanilla) with some butter behind it. Lots of specialty malt here creating a large range of bread and red fruit character as the hops yield light pepper and herbs. Pretty straightforward amber ale and the grain character is pleasant enough, though having to contend with the light diacetyl is a bit problematic.
Very dry in the mouth with a somewhat hard, grainy texture and moderately engaging carbonation. Red fruits, light toffee, brown bread and a strong peppery hop character all keep the palate dry and it goes through various stages of brightness to arrive at a somewhat malty, very bready finish with mild bitterness and a touch of butter and sourdough lingering. I think it does what it sets out to do, for the most part, but needs a bit more softness/suppleness from the malt to combat the strong specialty malt aspect/heavy bread/grain character.
Draft sample at the source. Clear amber color with a beige head of foam. The aroma has fruity cotton candy notes and juicy citrus. Orange notes abound. Sweet and fruity taste. Medium body and medium carbonation. Great beer! kevinsenn (2215) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 18, 2016

Aroma malty front, sweet, soft grassy notes, mild funk. Soft, pleasant character. 7+.
Top: medium sized head with good markings of rings and lace on glass.
Base: hazy amber
Palate : soft, chewy with mild carbonation…longer than average finish .
Taste: blend of sweet caramel malts with dry leafy, tangy hops. Solid creation.
Other notes drinkable amber ale
Very floral and tropical hop scent wlifting off the glass. Deep cloud amber color. Taste starts off a bit watery followed by a sweet tropical hop flavor slight bite finishing off with a beautiful sweet malty flavor. Medium body with light carbonation that goes flat on the tougue quite quick. Love the flavor complexity of this brew. If the carbonation didn’t fall flat so quick this would be a great beer. mathieuc (3996) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - APR 29, 2016
On tap at Parker Pie. Pours a slightly unclear amber with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of fruity caramel and pine. Taste is of pine, cereals with a slight fruitiness. Moderately low bitterness. Medium body with a high carbonation. Not bad but lacking some polish to me. pete4999 (1445) - Buffalo, New York, USA - APR 2, 2016
On tap at Mr. Goodbar in Buffalo, NY. Brown/amber pour, nothing out of the ordinary looking, but very nice. Burst of hop flavor that was totally unexpected. Pretty well balanced but definitely hop-forward. Great example of the style. VastActiv (7134) - Oulu/Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 15, 2016
