Great citrus nose on this. Big hoppy aroma. Pours hazy orange with good head and lacing. Good balance. Quite bitter. Tap at brewpub. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 23, 2014
Keg at Lost Rhino, 10/23/14. Pours a clear golden with a medium tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of candied citrus, pine, melon hops, toffee malt. The taste is tropical, pine, citrus melon hops, toffee malt. Medium bodied, moderate lingering bitterness. Travlr (26066) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 22, 2014
S&B. Draft. Hazy orange amber color, medium white head. Aroma is fresh mango, grapefruit, pineapple. Taste is sweet tropical fruit. Not overly bitter, but warmingly boozy. Very tasty, but I wish this had a more reasonable alcohol level. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 11, 2014
Really like me some Lost Rhino but this just didnt eclipse the mediocrity. The rhino chaser os more prevalent and better IMHO. nimbleprop (8743) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - DEC 14, 2013
22oz bottle pours a hazy orange with some hazy white head. Nose has a ton of juicy mango, some citrus, pine, soap. Flavor has some instantaneous bracing bitterness followed by a strong tropical fruit sweetness, pine, grapefruit. Big, zesty, sticky finish.

A: burst of piney resinous, tropical fruitsA: orange strawT: slight alcohol taste, smooth mouthfeel from the mango, super fruity, and very nice.O: very nice beer only kicker....not enough mango, over powered by the hops and alcohol bite. Elwood (3347) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Serving: Draft at the brewery. It pours a hazy copper color with a lasting creamy, tan head. The nose has lots of resinous pine and a touch of mango. The flavor is a wallop of hops. Lots of pine resin, slight tropical mango undertones, and a little pineapple. Unfortunately the bitterness turns a little aspirin like in the finish. Nice herbals emerge as the brew warms. The ABV is well hidden. Medium to full body with lower carbonation. Solid, but I was hoping the tropical notes would be a little better represented based on the description. It’s tough for a IIPA to stand out these days and unfortunately this one would get lost in the crowd. radagast83 (8446) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Consumed on premise - 5oz taster. This one poured a clear amber color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma was resin, sweet tropical fruit notes (grapefruit and mango). This one was pretty freaking tasty - mango notes through and through - grapefruits. Alcohol was relatively masked while consuming but soon after cheeks and forehead started to warm a bit - it’s there but I don’t feel like I have to avoid open flames while consuming. Bottle this, please. MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - DEC 3, 2012
On tap 4 oz. pour at Whole Foods in Vienna, VA.
Clear, orange-amber with white head and excellent lacing.
Robust aroma of orange, pine, citrus and caramel.
Taste of citrus, floral hops and pine. Malt and alcohol are there, but stay well hidden.
Medium body and medium carbonation.
