COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rich, dense, and creamy head tops this crisp, golden lager. Premium brewers’ malt creates a sweet backbone, but with prominent hop flavor and fresh aroma from noble Hallertau and Saaz hops.

Tap. Clear gold, thin white head. Quite traditional on all fronts, but really missing the malt qualities that would make for a rich and interesting Pils. Savory, some mineral, light grass and hay, sour grass finish. Fairly clean, just a bit bland. Lighter watery body without much texture.

Pours not quite clear, slightly brownish yellow, big whitehead. Aroma is biscuit, slightly herbal, more like a mainstream lager than many craft pilseners. Taste is sweet malt, noticeable hop character. More sipworthy than a macro lager, still goes better with foodm Unfortunately I tried this on a cool day.

A sweeter malty Pilsner with a decent grassy bitter hope bite. Not fantastic, but more than ample in the style.

Can from Whole Foods Arlington. Hazy straw body with medium head. Nose is citrus, wheat, herbs. Taste is also hoppy, floral, spicy. Quite nice really.

Golden with thin white head. Citrus and herbal hop notes. Faint crackery malt. Clean. Some assertive bitterness.

Can at the soulless bar in a soulless Hyatt in soulless "Crystal City" (a business park next to DC Reagan airport that makes suburban Maryland look hip and inviting).

Hazy dark-yellow pour, white head going to lacing. Funny what passes for a pils in the US. Not that I’m complaining, exactly; I quite like this beer independent of style considerations. The nose brings unexpected citrus and tropical hops. Hard to believe they’re getting this out of Hallertau and Saaz alone. Creamy mouthfeel, bitterness going all pils-lemony. Maybe my previous shitty beers softened me up, I actually think this is super tasty.

12 oz. can into a pilsner glass
Can dated 09/09/15
A:Medium gold with a slight haze. Pours a finger high head of puffy cloud texture. Retains fairly well for a few minutes with good thick patches of lace. Small number of lazy bubbles seen.
S: Nice but light grassy, slightly lemony scent, Maybe a hint of alcohol as it warms but not grainy or malty to me.
T: Some booze detected early in the taste. Along with that lemony tartness from the nose. Malty as well for sure but I wouldn’t call it sweet. Pretty well balanced and good. Tastes a bit stronger than it is.
M: Medium to heavy feel for its strength with just enough tingle to keep it interesting. Clean though not exactly dry finish without much resin. Substantial beer.
O: Pretty good pils but more along the lines of a German IMO. Also, I don’t necessarily find this a refreshing beer which is what I expect a pilsner to be since the smell is the only thing light about this. This will likely appeal greatly to those who like the taste of pilsners but want a bit stronger, heavier brew. Again, pretty good product overall and worth buying.
