Prodotto ad Alta Fermentazione. Birra prodotta con l’aggiunta di mosto d’uva Freisa in fermentazione. "Birra complessa, di grande finezza ed eleganza, in cui sorprendentemente convivono tre anime, quella fruttata con sentori che ricordano la fragola, il lampone ed il ribes rosso, quella acidula-citrica con lievi aspre note di limone e quella, più ostica, caratterizzata da off flavors tutti da scoprire. Bottle at appellation. Pours murky deep amber, nose is funky, sour, fruity, wine, taste is dry, fruity, sour, fizzy.

Au Trappiste, bern. Trübes dunkelrot, trüb. Beerenfrüchte und Roweinaromen dominieren. Anfangs fruchtig süss, angenehm sauer. Kaum Bitter. Vollmundig und spritzig. Sehr angenehm fruchtiger Abgang. Ich liebe es.

75cl bottle from Erzbierschof. And what a bottle it is: Every now and then, there is a new burst of foam appearing that settles again, so this beer easily entertains you while you drink it. The sourness is strong and on the first sniff and sip reminded me more of traditional Swiss "Saurer Most" than of a beer. Then again it’s been a while since I had a sour ale of this fruity, sour, almost acidic style. Judging from this fine beer it’s been too long!

Pours copper with a large fading head. Nose shows a mild funky barnyard note, bubble gum, rose and soft oak. Flavours include funk Brett, rose notes, light sweet malt, red berries and oak. A little cloying. Could benefit immensely if this was sour!

Birra molto complessa di difficile interpretazione (...e, secondo me qualche contraddizione). L’aspetto è strano, color tonaca di frate tendente al rossastro, praticamente senza schiuma (in definitiva pare un bicchier di vinaccio rosso). L’odore è fantastico, contenente innumerevoli sfaccettature, dai frutti rossi, agli agrumi, ma anche sentori tipici delle birre acide che piacevolmente fanno capolino allo ossigenarsi della birra. In bocca parte piacevolmente dolce per passare velocemente all’astringenza acidula piacevole. Purtroppo anche questo sentore è estremamente corto e lascia in bocca un finale altamente etilico che fa sentire i suoi 8%vol (la parte che non mi è piaciuta è quest ultima) in contrapposizione e per niente sostenuto dal corpo watery che dava una buona iniziale facilità di beva (a questo punto fasulla per il suddetto finale "forte"). Comunque ce ne fussero!!!!

Pours murky brown with reddish accent. Nose is earth, balsamico, vinehar, acid. Mouthfeel is very wattery. Nose gave away more balsamico than the taste accualltly is. Which only becomes apparent in the aftertaste. Decent sour but not my favourite flavors.

Dark copper to light bron color, beige head. Aroma is hoppy-sour, couldn’t distinguish something in particular. Taste is slightly fruity with lemon and orange, and sour with smelly horse-saddle notes. Not bad, nice balance. Light body with medium carbonation.

From tap at Open Baladin, Rome. Dark amber - copper color with small off white head. Funky, fruity aroma, sweet wineous with barnyard notes. Sweet fruity, light sour taste with barnyard notes again. Light to medium body, oily, soft carbonation.

Tap. Cloudy, orange, frothy, tan foam, medium sweetness, medium sourness, medium body, thin feel, soft carbonation, & long finish.

It’s a slightly hazy brew of red, 1" of foam, laces like a champ. The nose is a big mix of tart cherries and Brett. I can’t decide which is stronger. Tart cherries, funky flavour, just as I expected. The label says strawberries, raspberries, and red currants...umm...okay. Not cherries, my mistake. I do get them there fruity flavours *after* reading that. And you know what? I dig them. Astringency? Holy feck yes. Light body, zesty level of carbonation, good mouthfeel and the brew got cloudy with the last few ounces added to the glass. This is very good, but again, as with most Italian craft beers, the price is out of whack for the size of the bottles.
