Bottle. Pours dark brown. Nose of musky grapes, funk, wood and yeast. Taste is funky musky grapes, very aged wine, leather, wet old wood and moderate acidity. Well balanced tartness. Velvety texture. Medium body. Damico (3146) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 24, 2011
The beer pours clear amber with a very light head. The aroma is light fruitiness and clean sour notes, but not overpowering or pungent. The flavor or juicy grapes come in clear, not on a thick but bubbly body that goes down so smooth. Not puckering or tart, but clean sour notes on the flavor to the end. Meravigliosa creazione di Walter, molto complessa, elegante ma davvero unica. Sigmund (8012) - Tau, NORWAY - OCT 8, 2011
330 ml bottle, vintage 2010, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.0%. Cloudy reddish brown colour, huge cream-coloured head. Lovely vinous and funky aroma, notes of farmhouse, red wine vinegar and oak. The flavour is fruity and moderately sour (but not vinegary), notes of grape juice, funk and oak. An interesting and drinkable beer!

Pours a rosey rusty brown color with a two finger fizzy head that disappears quickly... but lots of rising bubbles keep the ring alive and bubbling like a volcano in the center LOTS of bottom risers here ! This beer even sounds good with fizzy white noise calling you from the glass. Aromas are earthy, tart, sweet with notes of strawberry, grape, cherry and plum.... tons of fruit. On the palate the fruit is more subdued than I would have thought it to be... great mouthfeel with great champagne like bubbles. Earthy notes of composte, autumn leaves, round malts, dark plum, wild brett and touches of tart cider.... alot of complex notes here... with a finish that taste like a moist forest floor at the turn of fall. A great sour. Hymir (3) - Stavanger’, NORWAY - JUL 15, 2013 does not count
Big suprise. Best Italian sour ale. Good malty taste with sour fruits. Nice pallat. Bit overpriced

Drucken på fat på Bishop Gustav. Sötsyrligbesk i riktigt bra balans. Fruktig och bärig med viss sötma, jordgubbar, hallon och söta druvor/russin, citrussyrlig och snäll vinägersyra, avslutas med påtaglig citruszestbeska. Riktigt gott. Bill Becker (2003) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - NOV 12, 2014
It’s a slightly hazy brew of red, 1" of foam, laces like a champ.
The nose is a big mix of tart cherries and Brett. I can’t decide which is stronger.
Tart cherries, funky flavour, just as I expected. The label says strawberries, raspberries, and red currants...umm...okay. Not cherries, my mistake. I do get them there fruity flavours *after* reading that. And you know what? I dig them. Astringency? Holy feck yes.
Light body, zesty level of carbonation, good mouthfeel and the brew got cloudy with the last few ounces added to the glass.
This is very good, but again, as with most Italian craft beers, the price is out of whack for the size of the bottles.
