Big suprise. Best Italian sour ale. Good malty taste with sour fruits. Nice pallat. Bit overpriced

Drucken på fat på Bishop Gustav. Sötsyrligbesk i riktigt bra balans. Fruktig och bärig med viss sötma, jordgubbar, hallon och söta druvor/russin, citrussyrlig och snäll vinägersyra, avslutas med påtaglig citruszestbeska. Riktigt gott. Bill Becker (1037) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - NOV 12, 2014
It’s a slightly hazy brew of red, 1" of foam, laces like a champ.
The nose is a big mix of tart cherries and Brett. I can’t decide which is stronger.
Tart cherries, funky flavour, just as I expected. The label says strawberries, raspberries, and red currants...umm...okay. Not cherries, my mistake. I do get them there fruity flavours *after* reading that. And you know what? I dig them. Astringency? Holy feck yes.
Light body, zesty level of carbonation, good mouthfeel and the brew got cloudy with the last few ounces added to the glass.
This is very good, but again, as with most Italian craft beers, the price is out of whack for the size of the bottles. superspak (5594) - Michigan, USA - AUG 24, 2015
330 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2010 vintage bottling. Pours hazy reddish orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace that lingers. Minimal lacing on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tart cherry, strawberry, raspberry, raisin, plum, currant, red grape, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oak, leather, light red wine vinegar, hay, straw, grass, musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, grapes, oak barrel, and dark malt notes; with good strength. Taste of tart cherry, strawberry, raspberry, raisin, plum, currant, red grape, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oak, leather, light red wine vinegar, hay, straw, grass, musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/acidic tartness and light oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of cherry, berry, raisin, currant, red grape, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oak, light vinegar, musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness, balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, grapes, oak barrel, and dark malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, moderately acidic, and slightly slick/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice fruited wild ale style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, grapes, oak barrel, and dark malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on with the balanced acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

Small bottle. Pours a hazy deep orange/copper with a thinning head. Aroma is grapeskins, grape must, earth, funky earthy brett, old dried leather, some cherry skin and pitty. Flavor is earthy, grape, prunes, fruity yet not sweet, tart old oxidized wine, earth and leather, bretty funk with more pits- cherry, cyanide, woody then tannic and tart in the finish- mostly lactic, slight aceto and a mild astringency. Pretty good. Slayer85 (1051) - Firenze, ITALY - AUG 8, 2011
Bottle. A hazy medium amber beer, with a large. fizzy. mostly diminishing off-white head. The aroma is lightly malty (caramel), moderately yeasty (earth, mold/must), with notes of grapes. berries, wood, cherries and citirc fruits. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, long finish with light to medium bitterness. Average appearence, but excellent and super fruity aroma. Some sugars, but balanced by the right amount of astringency. Very good. Cipressaia (53) - ITALY - SEP 13, 2011
Delicatissima creazione di Valter, forse la più ruffiana e bilanciata tra tutte. Ad onor del vero al palato perde un po’, avesse avuto più corpo sarebbe stata quasi perfetta
