Na dzień dobry wita nas piękne uderzenie końskiego zadu :) Mokre siano, zbutwiałe drewno to kolejne skojarzenia, w tle fajne winne aromaty, trochę winogron, przejrzałych jabłek i karmel.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2010 vintage bottling. Pours hazy deep reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tart cherry, cranberry, red grape, green apple, light cider vinegar, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oak, hay, straw, musty funk, light leather, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/funky yeast, dark malt, and oak barrel notes; with good strength. Taste of tart cherry, cranberry, red grape, green apple, light cider vinegar, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oak, hay, straw, grass, musty funk, light leather, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/earthy tartness/spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of cherry, cranberry, red grape, green apple, light cider vinegar, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oak, hay, straw, musty funk, light leather, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/funky yeast, dark malt, and oak barrel flavors; with a nice malt/tartness/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy, and slightly acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Flanders brown ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky yeast, dark malt, and oak barrel flavors; and very smooth to drink with the light amount of acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

Oak aged sour ale, from tap at In De Wildeman during Carnivale Brettanomyces. Creamy, stable, yellowish white head over a hazy copper beer with brownish hue. Aroma of orange peel, cranberry juice, sour cherries, some wood, candi sugar, passion fruit, strawberry yoghurt and tomato juice. Fresh fruit sourish onset, lots of redcurrant, raspberry and passion fruit, hints of yoghurt and caramel, orange freshness, nice caramelly malts underneath, dry sourish finish with lingering fruitiness. Unusual for the style but enjoyable enough, could do with a bit more finetuning, though - the oak, for example, could have been more pronounced for me.

Tap (TCBW15)
Cloudy red. Sharply sour vinegary aroma. Just say no to acetic acid. Tastes even worse, its just vinegar - trashy soured wort. Fuck the current fashion for sours, this is shit. This is an insult to great breweries like Rodenbach, Liefmans, Cnudde, etc. who actually know what a red sour should taste like

Pours reddish brown with soft cream head, smell is red fruits, caramel, vanilla. In the mouth its soft and warm, nicely sour, lightly vinous, wood notes; long lasting sour and berries aftertaste. Excellent!!
