Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks troubles. 2011 bottle. Black with a beautiful brown head. Pleasant sour aroma with a bit of vinegar, cherries, other fruits, some funk, a hint of olives and vinous notes. Sour roasty flavor with some fruits, a bit of vinegar, coffee notes, some funk and some bitterness in the finish. Medium to full-bodied. Very nice. I thought this was intentionally sour, but now I see some of the ratings donít mention any sourness or funk, so I guess itís not supposed to be that way - I really liked it anyway. 7/5/7/4/14=3.7
Draft at beertemple
Smell is sour , but in a bad way ( cleaning products )
Taste is pretty plastic . Not that good on the sour side , nor on the stout side dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - SEP 23, 2013
Draft @ beertemple. Aroma has big red fruits, liqourice and roast. Flavour starts of quite sour and sharp, then slowly the roasty and sweet imperial stout note takes over. Still very unbalance.

Keg at Beer Temple. Big sour smooth sharp thin head. Medicinal quality. Sour plum lime choco. Dry end. Great. Erasmus_ro (2905) - Alabama, USA - SEP 16, 2013
Tap @ Beer Temple, Amsterdam as sour imperial stout. Pours black with no head. Aroma is a lot of sourness, red berries, a whole bunch of vinegar. Taste is a lot of sour, quite a bit of nail polisher. Not sweet at all, some cherry. Quite a heap of vinegar again.Palate is light and slick. No carbonation. Feels like this batch had become infected and they decided to sell it off as a sour. Still fairly decent. Just donít expect an imperial or a stout. Borresteijn (6970) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 14, 2013
On tap at Beer Temple. Black, no head. Aroma of sauerkraut and berries, coffee, bitter chocolate. Flavour is sauerkraut, berries, vinegar, some balsamic vinegar, sour-roast finish. Medium-bodied. I found this to be quite unpleasant. Svesse (8581) - Hšsselby, SWEDEN - SEP 8, 2013
(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 27 July 2013) Black colour with foamy, brown head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate, vinegar, stable and grapefruit. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark fruit, lactic acid, grapefruit, green grapes and dark bread. More than medium body, quite dry. Gentle bitterness. I didnít expect it to be sour, but the funk actually works quite well. Nice one. NBird (626) - Perth, West Australia, AUSTRALIA - AUG 27, 2013
