Bottle, courtesy of OleR. More or less black, with a big, creamy, tan head. Lightly peppery on the nose, but mostly roasted and chocolatey with some coffee and a touch of hoppyness. Dry, roasted mouthfeel, full-bodied. Coffee, chocolate and some hoppy bitterness. Lasting and dry. Really pleasant I think, could easily drink this every now and then. 111123

Draught at Birrerria Volo. Pitch black with tan head. Nose of coffee, chocolate, some cherries and raspberries and a hint of smoke. Coffee and chocolate, with some leather and oakiness, and lingering smoke. Tasty.

33 cl bottle bought at Eataly in Milan. Nose is soy sauce, chicory, coffee, burnt bread. Taste oscilates between bitter, smoke and sour. Soy sauce, chicory, oak, smoked wood. Medium body, medium carbonation, dry, sour-bitter finish. Disappointing.

Dense ruby brown, thick ringed brown sugar head. Nose is big red wine vinegar. Initial taste is a rich drinking choc, soy and tart berry. Firm carbonation and clumpy mouthfeel. Finishes rich and spicy, lingers long and marshmallow choc sweetness threaded with this tart prong.

Bottle, Two Kay Tasting de la Comely Bankers Draught
