Brewdog Sheps Bush. Keg. Clear deep amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is minerally crisp and semi dry. Thin and very mild dark malts, the colour of the beer is a giveaway! Whisper of coffee and dry malt cream. Nice piney hops with lesser citrus and a touch of red berry fruits. Light crisp finish. Dark chocolate malt linger. Not bad.

Cask at BrewDog Camden, London. Pours black-brown with a soft, off-white foamy head. Nose holds quite a bit of ripe citrus, strong grapefruit, dark pineapple, some well and toasted malts. Decent flavor, medium sweet, some burnt caramel, burnt grapefruit, strong burnt grass, some juicy pine, mild smoked meat. Medium bodied with fine to average, smooth carbonation. Pretty dry yet resinous to finiush, a good dose of burnt wood, robust grapefruit notes, dark toast. Some burnt sugar. A nice black IPA overall. Reasonably well-balanced.

On tap at Tap East. Black beer dark broen edges lasting beige head. Very heady mix. The sherbert hop is intoxicating. Cold yes. But also unlike any beer i have had today. Not many beers grab me by so much attention. Arresting Scopey (14992) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2012
Keg at BrewDog Camden. It pours dark brown (nr black), with a decent beige head. The nose is roasted malt, charcoal, caramel, toffee, treacle, smoked ham, dark fruit, citrus pith and leather. The taste is roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit, charcoal, dryness, rich-roasted coffee and wood, with a long bitter-roasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Great balance. Delicious! imdownthepub (14767) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2015
Keg at The University Club, Oxford. Dark brown with cream head. Straight in to heavily bittering hops, drying but with a tropical fruit and citric edge. The chocolate and black malts balance out the beer nicely. Full on the palate, rich and a tad jarring but a very decent beer altogether. Stuu666 (13635) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 24, 2016
Keg at the hanging bat. Pours deep brown, nose is herbal, roasted, weird funk, bit like a lightly chlorinated swimming pool, taste is chewy toffee, roasted, sugary.
